  1. Hey guys I don't post on here very much but I recorded an acoustic version of our club song today! The video and audio quality isn't great, but hope you like it
  2. Dunn's re-signed for 2 years. Sellar & Macdonald for 1.
  3. I like to see us go after some proven senior players-> black, bolton, hayes, mitchell, waters etc. The benefit to our young players and even our senior group would be invaluable. Trade/pay overs for these players
  4. We're not fit enough. We're starting from a long way behind to 8-ball, and its going to take longer than 1 pre-season to turn that around, that is why misson is working the players hard mid-week to build a fitness base for 2013+. Another aspect that i haven't seen mentioned is the mental fatigue of the players affecting the physical side. They are learning a whole new style of play which clearly isn't instinctive yet. Players are therefore having to 'think' a lot more in games which could be contributing to their fatigue. Its the same as when you learn to drive, at first it is exhausting, but when it becomes 2nd nature its a breeze.
  5. hey I'm not sure if there's a thread on this already, but with free agency coming in a mid season trade/drafting period should be introduced. obviously contractually there would be hurdles to overcome, but there would be positives for both teams who are struggling and those that are competing. I would love to see some of the dead-wood disposed of asap and get in some players (other clubs, vfl, sanfl, wafl....) who will have a crack, but 2013 is a long way away. at the top end it looks like a number of teams could win the flag this year and it has been suggested that it will be the team with the fittest list; mid-season trade/draft period could help quell the effect of injuries. It could also provide a chance for clubs to get something for players looking to leave at the end of year. I know it's not going to be available this year and we have to be 'patient' but i think it has a big upside. thoughts?
  6. i don't like selling home games but i don't mind the game in darwin. its great for the indigenous boys! its a shame flash wasn't available to play. it could also have benifits for the recruiting team. Jurrah is a god up there and there is a ton of talent in the NT, if 1 game a year shows those boys that its great to play for the dees then its worth it! the fitness staff will be working overtime but with an 8 day break we should be right for the hawks
  7. Hi everyone first post! I've been looking forward to this stretch of the next 4 games for a while now. Facing off against teams 2nd-5th is a big test for the playing group and will give us a good idea of where we're at. Barring the draw against sydney i think our wins this year have come against poor/or underperforming teams, it will be interesting to see how our game stands up against 4 of the best defensive units in the comp. This next stetch of games is more important than beating richmond/gc/port because its a chance to build a lot of confidence and resilience in the playing group if we can remain competitive. While 10.5 wins could possibly get us into the finals, I'd like to see us win at least 1 of the next 4 games. I'd rather us earn a spot in the 8, or not make it at all
