I'm sorry you're knackered WCW.

You mean a 60-goal a year premiership full-forward? Just wondering how many of those are "creaping" around the competition at the minute?
-
Thanks for this T.C. Some of the best footballers I've seen stand at 175cm. I'm not sure what the problem is. It's one of the great attractions of Aussie Rules, all shapes and sizes can be stars.

The most amazing thing about this thread is how amazed I am when reading it.

Look Rubbish Binny . . . if you persist in posting nuanced and discerning content such as the above on Demonland, I'll be forced to report you to Andy and cease listening to the pods.

And the perennial favourite . . . crops up almost every round . . . " . . . xyz player is gassed. Needs to be rested/managed/given a week off . . . " It's a special type of fail when it's written after round three or a bye. -
He'll be saying that when the Weed is 30 years old.

Witches Hat's Guide to Posting on Luke Jackson Thread

Very hard on Jack SB. The blame should be spread around. I also blame Norm Smith (of course), Diamonds Tilbrook, Spud Dullard, Michael Byrne, Chris Woodman, Carl Ditterich, Peter Johnston, Phil Carman, Glenn McLean, David Cordner (naturally), Earl Spalding, Brent Grgic, Travis Johnstone, Scott Thompson, Michael Newton, Mitch Clark, Chris Dawes, Jesse Hogan, and anyone with the name Dom. Pedo narrowly escapes. -
Quite frankly, a Royal Commission does not nearly go far enough. I would have thought a fully parliamentary inquiry with very broad terms of reference is required. Stan from Stradbroke Island should chair, as he has all the relevant statistics at hand. At the completion of the said inquiry, a Truth and Reconciliation Commission should be established, where former and current Demons are given the opportunity to tell their story. First called to the stand should be Roger Ellingworth, Peter Giles, Stephen Smith, Max Gawn and a representative of the Flower family. In witness protection should be Leigh Matthews and Razor Ray.

One of the truely great words in the English language Sue. Thanks for using it. (Now . . . where is my Oxford?)

Couldn't agree more. Probably on 180k if he's lucky and does more than a serviceable job.

I'd recognise Mitch Brown in a police line-up every time.

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
Queanbeyan Demon replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
We are cutting the list back and sending 14 out to play each week. Bang . . . bang, bang, bang. -
No change??? FMD. Are we still persisting with that Oliver bloke?
-
love him to bits.
-
not watching it . . . can someone please advise on the number of times Foot-is-grey have thrown the ball tonight?
-
So close LG. He was 28 when he played in the premiership. He missed by that [. . . . .] much.
-
I don't care if he plays in the reserves then.
-
Off the top of my head . . . Doug Wade, John Rantall, Barry Davis, Stan Alves, Greg Wells, Val Perovic, Bryan Wood. And that's seven over a 10 year period. I could go on . . . . . . . but point made.
-
Def a compliment WCW.
-
Mate, if Admin were to ban all the six year olds on 'Land, the site would be liquidated. Who would @WCW post with?
-
Very good chance we go through undefeated from here . . . multiple injuries to superstars and Mayfades excluded.
-
Schizophrenic was mentioned above. What is my diagnosis please? I want Horethorn, Filth, Essendrugs, Jeelog all to finish 18th. Happy for Bunt Road to finish 9th.

Good point about Norf A-S. For a club who has been so innovative for half a century, they have certainly lost their way. And your point about money for good quality journalism is well made. The whole sector has been hollowed-out by the tech-revolution. The industry's response in Australia to this upheaval has been astoundingly incompetent. Hope you're not a jorno A-S. :-I
