GAME DAY - Scratch Match vs Collingwood
I hope they know how to trace the audio problem?? There’s a tiny bit of sound, almost inaudible, down about 25-30db, probably crosstalk.

The Co-Captaincy?
Co captains again. Probably NJ & JV. Not Viney solo, his fitness is still too uncertain and why unnecessarily snub Jonesey? TMac and Gawn are probably ready if need be.

New Major Sponsor - Jaguar CONFIRMED
I think basically what happened was Gottleib Daimler invented the petrol engine, his company built the first vehicles in the 1880’s. Benz was a rival nearby. An English company bought the right to use the Daimler name on cars. Daimler died in 1900. After WW1 his corporation and Benz joined forces creating Mercedes Benz and the name of the parent company was and still is Daimler. If that makes any sense.

Their logo and iconic name looks great on the back of our jumpers. I welcome their coming on board.

Great, I didn’t realize reading Demonland would be so educational! Thanks Ethan, I’ll pass your history lesson on to the locals ?

New Major Sponsor - Jaguar CONFIRMED
OD, I believe you if you say they’re selling poorly in Oz. Have you driven one? My girlfriend traded her Q40 for a new Q50. I drove both a lot and they’re really nice, and selling very well here in Los Angeles

Tim Smith v Cam Pedersen
IMO it was no coincidence that for years we almost always lost when Peder was not playing, yet so often won when he was playing! Not a big star but he did things people don’t notice, and he had as good a “team first” attitude as anyone ever, which is contagous so really helps the scoreboard. IMHO Peder should have always been our #1 CHF ahead of that very nice and intelligent chap reputed to have concrete hands. Peder seems to have been underapreciated and underused yet had a lovely attitude throughout so one can easily feel gratitude and many best wishes for his future. Thanks man.

Tom McDonald Presser (14/12)
Worth hearing the whole thing. TMac speaks knowledgeably and seems a good fellow. ..better player than Hogan ever was.

2018 Player Reviews: # 17 Sam Frost
IMHO Frosty is greatly underappreciated on DL. After Lever went down our defence went to the toilet until Frosty came in; then suddenly it was much better. His speed and power are serious weapons and he’s seriously improving everything else. I also have him well ahead of Oscar.

Thanks Cameron Pedersen
Pederson had the finest sporting attitude. No evidence of him complaining or being a prima-donna when he was under-appreciated. IMHO it was no coincidence that we usually won when Cam replaced Dawes at CHF, but lost when Dawesy was at CHF and Cam didn't play! He earned my respect, I wish him every success and am sure he'll always be welcome at the club.

Has OMAC surpassed his brother? (The Age)
IMO he’s improved this year, but TMac is great now and is well ahead.

New CEO - Gary Pert
I imagine that most of us, like myself, have great trust, admiration, respect and gratitude for the great job Peter Jackson seems to have done, while we know relatively little about our board and president and their ability to make the correct choice of a CEO. That IMHO being the case, I can’t understand why they wouldn’t consult with PJ about this decision, even if solely to make the supporters feel more comfortable with the choice? Of course PJ has no vote In choosing his replacement, but seeking his advice during the process would surely make supporters feel better about the choice, and how a clubs supporters feel is important too. I hope we’re about to be informed that PJ was consulted?

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Agreed, and the last time we beat Wet Toast in Perth was 2002 !

Nuggets' Music Videos
Hey Tim. Good, I'll still be here, hope to see you then. Are The Sports friends of yours? Having left Oz in '74, unfortunately I missed decades of local music. Watched the 2007 GF in LA with Aussie friends and some Richmond players; Richo, Collins & another. Collins mentioned the Sports a lot & said his uncle, father or someone was in them.

Nuggets' Music Videos
Hey Tim Hardtack. Great to meet & watch the GC win! Still in semi-euphoric shock we won a 1st rounder actually! This must be the tune you told me about. I took the advice to "only listen with headphones on and the volume cranked right up to maximise the pain... err, I mean, experience." Hahah, you're too hard on yourself. I liked it, great stuff! Your vocal intonation's fine and everything. All very enjoyable. Thanks for pointing out there are music threads on DL too. Coincidentally(?) the music posters also seem among my favorite footy posters to read [Redleg, Macca, Nutbean, yourself..]!? Anyhow, hope to catch another game with you. You're very welcome to phone/PM/email any time. Cheers, Rob
