After Goodwins first year we changed the game plan to move the ball quicker by foot rather than with run. Seeing Jayden running with the ball went against the plan as much as we (the supporters) loved it. To make it worse he would often run himself into trouble or kick long with little accuracy. He fell out of favour and has looked like half the player he was. He could be delisted this year which is unbelievable considering how good he looked in 2017.

Bizarre that we were playing a crippled TMac for so long ahead of him. Truly some odd team selections this year

Did ok? He blatantly held him and was incredibly lucky that the umpires are complete spuds

At about round 8 I would say we couldn't afford to drop him. Every time I see him recently I feel like throwing something at the tv. Can't believe how much I was looking forward to watching how his season was going to play out.

The only thing I can think is that the umps think we play for frees and aren't paying them Edit: whilst saying that... The umpires have been terrible both ways. Some really bizarre calls/non-calls. Melksham with 2 of the most obvious throws you will ever see not called come to mind

Ok. After expecting a big year his whole season has been disappointing. At least he was hitting the scoreboard early in the year. His soft efforts stick out more and cannot be tolerated if he isn't hitting the scoreboard. Laying tackles has got to be a non negotiable.

Remember under Roos when there was a focus on not fumbling? And defence?

I love it that we come out and repeatedly said that the short breaks are no big deal and that we are prepared for it. Well... Based on the evidence we are the worst prepared club at dealing with them.

Without a doubt. You can see the sweat pouring off the Sydney players. They just have the desire to win. We just want to go back to the hotel. I doubt we will win next week here either. Our players can't handle the pressure.

I find it slightly interesting that Vanders was omitted rather than managed. Didn't play exactly the same role last week as he has done for most of the year with Tomlinson playing the wing position (the one he was traded in to play). Maybe a sign that Tomlinson has improved in his defensive positioning to assist with our zone enough that Vanders is on the outer. Also only played 62% game time last week which is obviously super low.

On rewatching the Saints game, I think Vanders should be rested. Tomlinson played his role on the wing while VDB started each quarter on the bench and only had 62% game time. I know his game time percentage is always on the low side but this is low even by his standards. He is plugging a hole on that defensive wing for us this year but the short turn around might be too much for his foot.

Who do you have on the wing? Tomlinson?

Fritsch on the wing? Can't see it happening. Surely this isn't what you mean. Who would you play on the wing if Vanders is out? The only option for me would be Tomlinson who was recruited for that role but has been worse than VDB. Or you could pull Baker in out of the cold, but this would be unlikely

I still believe they were the best picks at the time and any clubs with the top two pick would have taken them. Trengove unlucky with the injurys and in hindsight I dont really blame Scully for leaving although the way he did so left a bad taste in the mouth. Criminal not to at least interview Dusty though. Charges should be laid.
