  1. All my Carlton mates (there's two of them) are disgusted by their team and stopped watching them long ago. Saints by WGAF.
  2. Brayshaw won't leave. At the start of the year I thought he was trade bait, midway through the year I thought he was getting plenty of ball but being wasteful, rushed and turning it over badly. Now there's a level of composure and a familiar position to play in given he has regained confidence from his concussion issues. He's gonna be a jet and a must keep for our flag tilts.
  3. Club has shot itself in the foot plenty of times over the years. Let that count.
  4. He's been slugged with another $2K fine so I reckon his missus won't be in a rush to bu him a new golf driver for fathers day. Wonder if he'll challenge it?
  5. For everyone tagging a certain poster into the discussion, can you please stop it. Let’s keep the thread on the rails for a change.
  6. Just watching the replay and have been taking notice of Fritsch around stoppages. His positioning and timing is very very good. When he knows he can’t get the ball, he automatically puts a body on an opponent to take them out of the contest. Just a very clever player and I love that beautiful kicking action he has.
  7. I thought it was a pretty decent effort across the board so it really comes down to who the worst offenders were with skill errors. That’s a hard task given the conditions so I’m thinking there’ll be no change for the Dogs who aren’t traveling very well right now. As for the climate affecting the players, I’d like to think a full week of recovery will be ample time for Misson et al to get the players ready to fire again.
  8. Mate, you’re a bit of a chump poster on this site. Quite ironic really the way you rubbish others contributions and shitcan the site in general. You’ve posted a little bit about actual footy so I’m thinking you might be able to contribute more at some stage. Should I wait in hope?
  9. My perception of Weed will change considerably when the ball starts sticking to his mitts. He's never going to be the mobile/agile player that Curnow is so our best hope for Weed is that we sort out our shizenhausen forward entries so he can get a better crack at the more conventional leading forward role.
  10. Not a bad gif but I prefer this one..
  11. The way the ball is bombed into our forward line I’m surprised that Goodwin didn’t go with a couple of smalls weeks ago. It’s just a band aid solution to our real issues of inefficient inside 50’s in my opinion but I hope it works. Need our big forwards clunking and converting.
  12. Not before my television.
  13. @Drunkn167 being rather quite today... no leaks?
  14. Yes you were indeed. Planning on keeping your powder dry in the game day thread this week, Nash?
  15. If we lose to Freo.... ....I’ll be amazed if Wiseblood identifies any positives in his post match discussion. ?
  16. .... then it may just be the last game I watch this year. No Sandilands and Fyfe, Stephen Hill milestone game with his brother Brad returning after his misdemeanour and the game being in Darwin, all presents itself (somehow weirdly) as a recipe for Deesaster. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we choke again given the pressure on the club to perform. Forward lines and back lines are all over the shop and our mids are out of gas with 8 weeks left in the season. If we can't get things to click this weekend, the season is down the gurgler.
  17. Cheers, just watched the presser.
  18. Is this the week VandenBerg and McKenna play VFL?
  19. Just about to start here in Perf. Will report if he says anything new or different.
  20. From Guthrie on the AFL site (Hi Ben) Disagree with two first gamers coming into an already struggling defence. That'd be complete f'wittery but probably in line with current selection thinking. Get them in: Billy Stretch (23 disposals, two goals) is in a good patch of form and is pushing his claim for a recall. Speedy youngster Oskar Baker is a chance to debut after a season-high 34 touches, Dean Kent, Jeff Garlett and Charlie Spargo will all be in contention as small forwards and tall defenders Sam Frost, Cameron Pedersen and Declan Keiltywill also be considered. Under the pump: Dom Tyson, Mitch Hannan andfirst-gamer Harrison Petty all struggled against the Saints. Does Melbourne make another statement and drop Jordan Lewis, Christian Salem or Christian Petracca? Medical Room: No fresh injury concerns out of the weekend. Did Kent (hamstring) do enough in the VFL after a big stint on the sidelines? Verdict: Stretch for Tyson, Keilty for Petty, Spargo for Hannan and Baker for Lewis. – Ben Guthrie
