I hated going to Freo games at Subiaco when he was playing. So many Dockers fans used to carry the little reception bells to the game and every time Bell got a touch the muppets would raise the bell and give it a ring. It was beyond cringeworthy.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before as I’ve not caught up however, this outcome aligns with ch7 Perth’s early call from Basil big nose last night that was apparently a ‘tele prompt’error. That and the time stamp in Mitch Cleary’s tweet all deduces to the fact that Freo had informed local stakeholders at least, yesterday afternoon. Was Mahoney aware of anything this morning and he played a straight bat, thereby allowing Freo to reconsider? Who knows but if anything last nights ch7 Perth blunder was in fact anything but.

This decision by Freo will put them at the back of the queue when they attempt to lure any quality player in the future. Their strategy for years now has been to bring home grown talent back to WA and this farcical outcome has severely damaged that strategy. I'm pleased we still have Jesse but concerned we appear to miss out on May.

I think it's just Mahoney being pragmatic. Everyone with a half a decent sheep's brain knows that the Hogan trade is the key to any other downstream trade target so why say otherwise? You just make yourself out to look like a dill. Also, Mahoney has mentioned 'other deals' are reliant on the Hogan trade so the mentioning of May only, is somewhat already diluted by these other possibilities.
