  1. One of the posts of the season Bubs Thank you
  2. Compare this to VAR where they show the command centre and mention who's in charge. Quite transparent. The AFL obviously don't care about transparency or fixing what is a very flawed system & tech though. Unfortunately to the detriment of the game.
  3. Woe was VG yesterday until his head knock and a slight corky about half way through the third. Got to plenty of contests and became an excellent link out of congestion with some reasonably clean disposal. Play him off the bench as a part time winger (when resting Hunter) and outside mid for shortish minutes sharing this role with Kozzy. We are struggling with our ability to get the loose ball and spread and / or cover the spread once the ball spills to the outside at CBs & stoppages. Playing JJ, Gus, Clarry & Viney in the same team is not the answer. Too much inside ploddy stuff here. Kozzy can't do it all as we need his pressure inside 50 and goal kicking of course but imo we also need to see more of him at CBs. More than 10% anyway. Should be pushing this to 15% - 20% and get Chandler to play the Kozzy pressure role while he's out of the 50. It's either that or we somehow need to push Rivers into some CBs and a few stoppages in the middle and wings. Cover his role with someone....maybe McVee? Need to add some speed at bounces & stoppages. We're getting smoked on the outside too often now. Get Woe in and start blooding him if fully fit. He's ready he just needs the tank which he's better off building at AFL level. He'll have quiet moments and quarters but the quality is there and he'll get more involved as the experience & tank grows.
  4. That's about as good as it gets for now with Petty gone and Macca still on the come back trail Thought Schache might stick his hand up yesterday but he was terrible.

  6. Non of the experienced present FIT stock on our list, bar maybe T-Mac IF (and it's a big if) he finds any sort of form in the next few weeks, are "The Answer" Bubs. Even T-Mac may not be "The Answer" beyond this season if he has further set-backs or can't find his mojo in the off-season. BB (not you!!) is a looking like a possible no go for 2024 and probably won't see him return. All are just temporary fill ins at best until we either trade in a genuine experienced (rated) TF or whenever (another IF) Jefferson comes good. We are very reliant on JVR continuing to improve gradually and come to the fore. Jefferson to eventually find his feet. And of course Petty (another if!??) when he fully recovers. Now 2024. Will be surprised if Schache makes the cut for 2024. Seems pretty obvious we will need to trade in a rated KTF for 2024.
  7. Round 22, 2023 MCG - Blues vs Demons Pretty decent return for Clarry. Only 10% off his season average rating. Gus topping the ratings. Viney would have been up with his peers had he not had a massive game high 13 turnovers. Forward efficiency dropping away with the Petty effect and pressure? The Blues not that much better aside from accuracy at goal with a significant conversion advantage. The team rating a massive 19% off the season average is a big worry, even if against VG opposition. The Top 6 this week holding the line nicely though, along with Joel Smith. Salem surprisingly rating better than my own impressions of what i saw on the night. The rest dropped away with many apparently stepping in a steaming pile of Blue doggy doo. 8. Superb stuff. Haven't noticed her in the mix before and i'm a regular DA member behind the goals pretty much every home game. She was front and square in this one and giving it eveything. Haters gonna hate Dazzle
  9. On radio he also claimed he touched it with his fingers. Well neither hand went near the ball so that's a load of bullocks as was the whole review. Didn't have the balls to over turn what was an obviously incorrect call from the goal line replays. Why are they there? Getting paid for not doing their job professionaly.
  10. Love the passion WCW! You go girl! Sorry to hear of your loss also ✌🏼🙏🏼
  11. Well what a bog ordinary weekend of results that was. No real stand outs at Casey aside from Tomo.
  12. The transition is too slow and the bulk of Casey's entries inside 50 have been appalling. Some of the worst goal kicking i've seen doesn't help. May have kicked themselves out of it.
  13. Woe having a solid game around the stoppage. A good chance to come in for JJ if he continues
  14. Lovely kill from Freeman there ..possibly saving a goal
  15. Very hard to judge any forward's game if the ball's spending a large % of the time in the oppo's forward half Ollie. Only the last 10 minutes of the 2nd quarter did we see it going our way for a chunk.
  16. Been over using the HB all season. Most of his kicks are up & unders as well. Caught far too often attempting the fend offs. Seems to have lost the bit of burst speed he once had. He still has the work rate and effort but having a very ordinary season so far, mostly at Casey.
  17. Too many inside mids Bin. Woe if he plays out of his skin today would be the ideal exchange for JJ. Unlikely but who knows. Otherwise we don't really have another decent outsider that can impact at present aside from Tracc who is being asked to play a fair chunk forward. And rightly so. I'd still play woe and just let him learn the ropes. Will eventually be the silk and class we are sorely missing through the middle. The other alternative is Spargo in for JJ. Rivers as the outside mid, keeping Hibb in the mix with him & McVee asked to play the running HB interceptor River's role as a duo.
  18. Yes a joe-the-goose. Missed the only deliberate gettable shot by alot from not far out. A window presents for Moniz or Spargo for mine subject to their performances today. Might need Smith to cover up forward for Grundy out over the next two weeks until we see how Macca goes. Smith was the only tall forward to take a contested mark and kick a set shot goal in his limited time up forward. If Macca makes it back then yes, maybe Smith goes back to sub but not before imv. Need the alternate TF to assist JVR.
  19. Schache with JVR as the chop out. That combo would be no better or worse than Grundy at this point in a ruck sense. Probably better as we would have ourselves a capable forward who can kick a goal or two most games. Grundy lucky to score one goal every other game. He isn't a part-time forward and not sure why the FD keep talking about trying to improve his game here. Very average player all round now post injury. Has minor moments where he looks reasonable but that's it. Ppl need to get over the fact that he's some sort of 'impact' player or will turn into one. His AA days are well behind him unfortunately. Didn't impress in his two matches at VFL level yet still got a call up. Very costly recall last night and poor selection given the conditions. Probably cost us the game imo.
  20. Also gives a bit of extra time for the ball carrier to execute skills by foot and / or draw the player in front to get the overlap going by hand
