  1. We are too easy to beat / score against. Just compete, switch/spread. Leave a free or two on the outside of the stoppage and run off. Most of our entire i50 are bombed or kicked to the hotspot approx 20 meters out. Send a few players there to spoil. The rest around the drop to gather and run off. MFC forwards will always send too many up to mark leaving an extra or.two on the ground for the Opp to clear. I could go on ... This shambles/mess is a production of Goodwin / Macca and the entire FD.
  2. Supporters leaving already....?
  3. Jeffy!!!! No wait it's another hack kick up forward ?
  4. CWagner off....Harmes on to his wing....again far too late. Fritsch has been asked to go behind as a plus one behind the ball off the other wing. Why? Save us from a bigger blow out? %? Laughable coaching
  5. Just moved Fritsch to the wing far too late. Cwags on the other offers us nothing
  6. Jeffy Jeffy Jeffy oi oi oi
  7. T- Mac to Membrey FCS
  8. Agreed. Tom muat go back. Adding nothing up forward and simply getting in the way of other more mobile forwards on a lead etc. Fritsch either to a wing or HF. If HF then Melk out to a wing.
  9. On the wing to replace Old Man Lewis. Salem on the other to replace Chunk. Why are we playing 2 old men on both wings?? Death wish Goody?????????????
  10. Jeffy would've had 3 by now
  11. Why is he running his opponent from the Arc back into a leading corridor ??.. Lead him away FGS Melk was still good enough to mark it
  12. Jeffy (if match fit) for Corey was a no brainer sitting under Pruess and providing some goal awareness/finish and more pressure on the Opp inside our 50
  13. That's the trouble TU....they are very different sized grounds!
  14. That's what Goody & Co. are getting good coin for. From an amateurs perspective... - Control the middle clearances (we have arguably the best ruckman in the comp and a stellar inside mid field) as much as possible at center bounces. - All other times protect the middle of the ground if zoning and force them wide. - If that fails and we are still getting smashed on the sling shot be prepared to go man on man to force the turnover - Play a slow possession game if they have any sort of run on (eg., 3 goals in a row). Slowly try to wrestle back control of the game and tempo until we are ahead on the scoreboard. - If we get ahead by more than a few goals.....then we can release ....
  15. Both are effectively rookies DV so must be given plenty more time obviously. I see Corey as more of a swing man between the arcs playing a little more time pushing back to defend and intercept where possible but early days. Spargo more a smallish half flanker pushing high into mid field at times. Spargo is above AFL standard in disposal efficiency both with hands and kicking which i have no doubt is getting him over the line with the MC at times. We need more of these, especially with kicking and to be above AFL average is a great asset for us at this early stage. Just needs to build his possession count which should happen the more he plays as his tank improves. Appears to be on track to becoming a regular solid contributor for us for years ahead provided he keeps his head down and works super hard on the track etc.
  16. Something to do with a week at a time!
  17. Possibly an indicator of form ....or maybe not Buck. The differing outcomes might also be a result of the quality of the opposition on the day/night in question. Other factors such as a high pressure match versus free flowing in the other etc. Far from a perfect science especially using one set of numbers from one match to compare. Comparing averages over 3 to 4 weeks probably a bit more robust. P.S. Our bottom 6 are better!!
  18. DV don't make me repeat that overused footy cliche' please!
  19. I think that will probably happen sooner rather than later provided Spargo doesn't have a mare DV
  20. As long as we win Ox i really don't care what he does
  21. Unfortunately the reverse has happened and they've been rewarded for their cheating SW. The AFL gravy train choofs onwards
  22. North are done for the year. So far off it. Embarrassing
  23. EO you may well be correct but the likes of Corey and Spargo aren't setting the world on fire either at the moment. Jeffy is an established AFL player and doesn't need "more time"at a lower level to improve if he has shown he is bringing it in at least one game. The only caveat to that might be that he does need more miles under his belt given he was injured for a bit. All evidence doesn't necessarily support what you are saying on defence EO. Statistically on average he brings as many pressure acts or more (and 1 more tackle per match inside 50) vs say a Spargo or a Melksham. He also averages more tackles per game. On the offensive side he also averages 1 more goal per game than those two. I am comparing them as they are about the only two (available) smallish forward players who presently play a role that might keep Jeffy out. He also has slightly more score involvements (on average) than Spargo or Melk to this point.
  24. There is no better game than this week for Jeffy to play that specialist role DV assuming Pruess is in. I agree re: point guard vs Jeffy playing a different role. no arguments there. But someone would have had to make way for Jeffy and Spargo seems to me to play a bit more forward at this point than Corey from what i witnessed last week (might have been looking through beer goggle eyes however so might be totally off the mark on that!). I don't think we can afford both of Spargo & C Wagner in the team at the expense of an in form Jeffy. Jeffy's ability to bring it though is often circumspect lately which is probably why the FD thought twice about rushing him back in. Either that or they decided to hold him off for the Toiges.
