Lockhart kicks a beauty (apparently!} Weids marks and lining up...GOAL!

Absolutely on both counts. Goody must resist the temptation of having our 2 best (of those who are fit) mid fielders in Clarry & Brayshaw play in any sort of run with / tagging role if we are to win this . as we should. Provided Goody doesn't tagg as per the above and the umps don't murder us for much more than about 2 quarters.... Demons by 35 Points.

Hibberd Ruled Out of Cats Clash with Quad
Demon Dynasty replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Very solid Wells. Not in the business of selling false hope to the long suffering here. Assuming the recovery goes as expected, Hibbs will return in 2 to 3 -
Hibb 2 to 3 weeks apparently. Hannan probably back next week.

My source tells me it's not severe a la Jones last year. 2 to 3 weeks tops. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 18

So that's a loss then ? -
Tyson invites pressure on the inside as he doesn't have the bullocking break away ability of a Viney. Viney is a few rungs above Tyson in this regard. I would even argue that Tracc & Harmes are starting to show better traits in this area also. I would rather stick with Clarry, Brayshaw, Tracc & Harmes and go with an outside winger / HF. Kent is the best option for this role when in form vs Hannan / Tyson. Is also more accurate at goal and on average kicks more goals per match than either of those two (when he gets on the park, which is rare). Having said that I dont think any of these 3 are long term keepers (Kent a slim possibility of eveything goes right from here).

Would rather have a fit an in form Kent vs Hannan / Tyson. Problem is he is rarely either ?

If that is a true account then something is definitely NQR within the AFL system. If the AFL is handing out "umpire advice & insights" then the same advice and messages /demonstrations should be granted to every club through the week in a systematic fashion or nothing given at all. -

Doesn't have the initial speed or play quite tall enough IMHO (depending on potential opponent/s). Disposal pretty ordinary atm also. Melk and/or Harmes for mine with Jones to Menzel. ANB/Fritschkrieg/JKH & Hannan rotate through wings & HF -

Would much rather him playing through the wing & HF. Easily the best kick in the team, on either side, outside of Nev (who would be getting more cheapies around the back). That last kick inside 50 (and accuracy at goal) is critical to our success. Giving the opp a significant win playing him down back for extended periods outside of 'ice time'. Melk can cover (or at least trial it). Tim Smith comes in to take Melks role and also resting ruck which frees up T-Mac to go full time with no draining ruck duties. Smith also the No.1 tackler inside 50 will bring extra pressure and possibly keep the ball in our forward 50 more often vs Melk. -

I would argue Clarry is our best mid and arguably our best player alongside Maxy RP. Viney definitely right behind alongside Gus. Without an in form Hunt i can't think of anyone that will handle the role Hibberd plays to a similar level. His reading of the play, work rate to get to the contest and run off and across HB (on the switch) will leave a gaping hole. Could we switch Melk back there till he returns (hopefully before finals)?? Hasn't really threatened up forward for 6 weeks now and we've won our last 2 without him playing anywhere near his best or hitting the scoreboard as often as his purple patch around the time we smashed the Crows. -
He does show glimpses for sure! Might turn out better than bro

Nice start....go the Weid!
