  1. Losing this in the middle and at most contests. Sloppy and combersome. Petty drops a sitter. Tomo spoils a certain mark of Ricks What the hell lol
  2. A fair percentage of Grundy's disposals go straight to Brissy players
  3. Hunter playing beautifully on his wing. Grundy better this quarter off a low base. We're going down the line alot, allowing them to defend pretty easily. Need to look inside a little more where possible
  4. Im hoping for just a bad hyper extension ....2 to 3 weeks
  5. Hardly any wins in the center from our rucks. All taps from Brissy at center bounces towards their goal and there's no defensive sweeper on that side for us. Allowing Brissy players to get it out of the middle too easily. Energy so far is right off. Second to the ball. Multiple Brissy players at the drop with Melb players trailing behind. Not looking good at all in the middle in particular. Silly tackle from Rivers on the first gamer! Amature stuff. Plenty of time to turn this around but not sure given the very ordinary start and flat feel from the armchair. At least three obvious holding the ball / incorrect disposal decisions not given. The ducking the head one wow!
  6. Mo i think that sort of goes without saying Im with you, while i think we'll put up a decent show and should win, i don't think this will be as cruisy as some are suggesting on here
  7. Responding to Mr Leg's question in the closed thread .... I would say a combo of his experience and as a key member of the defensive crew he would be able to add that experience & input/feedback during the half time break and possibly from the bench in game. Obviously rather see him out there but a good chance Tomo stays in me thinks.
  8. Well thats a significant set back. 4 weeks plus recovery then a few weeks in the VFL. Probably looking at about round 9 earliest now. Hasn't been able to get back to his best since the GF
  9. Need a big night from the local Brissy Demons as the Lion players are gonna come after HP big time i reckon. Likely to get pretty willing early me thinks and he'll be a target throughout the match. Hope the boys are mentally prepped for this to happen
  10. Tommo on the flight = No May for mine unfortunately
  11. He is athletic once on the move Dazzle but i watched him closely against the Hawks last season and he was easily beaten to the drop of the ball on most occasions and unable to kill the ball very often aside from the occasional big bombs. I think some are fooled by his running / athletic capability when he gets some momentum but off the mark he's well behind many forwards with any sort of speed over the first few meters. I reckon some opps might know this also and would look to exploit this weakness, especially by looking to go through any forward with even a bit of decent burst on the lead.
  12. Please do the right thing and contact Action Jackson asap Walking and let him know about this arrangement. It's a win win as his 24 hour plus wait will be worthwhile plus he won't just keep the seats in your bay warm.... they'll be red hot by the time the game starts! 👍🏻
  13. Nailed cool kid & stoner but say what old boy... isn't that the reincarnated ace fighter pilot Biggles in the middle there??...
  14. AJ i know you're super eager but you do realise the game starts 'tomorrow' evening right?
  15. They don't normally like to bring players with plenty of credits back through the McGoos layzie However in this instance, especially given the state of our list, the FD def has some luxuries afforded to it (if they wish). Add to this the apparent lack of hard edged match fitness & run that we used to see in Salo (21 and prior) that appeared to be missing last season, personally i would much rather see him hit certain KPIs before a recall. We want every line firing at its peak this season wherever possible and no better opportunity here than to have Salo build up his match fitness & running capability at Casey imv
  16. Absolutely ... plus Maysy himself of course
  17. Yes and if it goes again.... might not be back till well into second half if lucky. No doubt the FD won't be pushing to get him in unless he's cherry ripe
  18. Def worth a look layzie... although i fast forward pretty much everything else aside from Demon related. Too much chompers nonsense. Some of the match day analysis is actually quite good though when they aren't fooling around.
  19. Anyone not running a tag on Nick and Pendles, who they have sitting as a QB off the back of the square distributing the ball at will through the middle, are doomed to fail. Also the vision off the Sunday footy show was very telling. Between the arcs all players sit off the fat side of their opponent on both sides of the field. Looking to either force their opponents out wide if they don't win the 50/50s or if they win it they run it on 45s through the middle in numbers. Im not sure what strat you would use to combat that but surely all teams are well aware of this plus the Pendles QB set up (from the back of square and pushing through the middle) by now!??
  20. Daicos brothers and Pendles are always in the mix LH. Not sure how DeGoey got 10 in that match. second half was good but certainly not as noticeable in the first.
  21. No doubt already been mentioned but of course Buddy gets just one week for going past the ball and ironing out oppo with an elbow to the head... Kozzy gets two with oppo barely a scratch. The AFL Circus continues unabated! Well done Gil
  22. Yep he made me eat humble pie Dockett. I thought he may have been passed any kind of performance like that when i watched him in the warm up against the Saints... 17 effectives, 6 one percenters, 8 rebounds, 1 inside 50, 2 tackles (one of those inside 50), 4 score involvements, 5 intercepts and 424 meters gained. 4 turnovers
  23. Not really a surpirse and will change with each match depending on who's in / out for us and the oppo of course. Nonetheless makes for positive reading... https://www.zerohanger.com/every-afl-clubs-backline-ranked-part-iii-2-134095/
