Trade Rumours 2023
That is why the Reid swap makes more sense for North & WC imv. WC would be crazy not to do some sort of deal. They need a spread and some depth. They have virtually zero of both at the moment and committing to Reid feels like a miss managed outcome (given where their list is at), even if he's the next Judd/Dusty. North also get back a player that won't be interested in going home and may be the equivalent (or possibly better) than JHF.

While it would appear from the outside looking in that both club & player are amicably moving on, i personally feel the relationship has moved well beyond that sort of outcome. Plus there's the list issue of carrying four tall combos (ruck / forward-part time ruck) of Fullarton, Scache, Verral and Grundy surely.

Fullarton. Outside of that, Shache (on paper only) as the non-playing sub. The only other option is an extremely green Verral.- Trade Rumours 2023

Yeh that's my body- Farewell James Harmes
One of the great footy stories. Probably my favourite bloke in the club in terms of his happy demeanor, never-say-die attitude and work ethic. Then again there's Piggy and Clazz! Hard to split. I recall the first year wondering who this Harmes kid was at Casey (or was it Sandy back then?). Any relation to Wayne Harmes? If so what's he doing at the Demons? Had his ups and downs early but eventually found his feet. Remembering that he started 2021 under an injury cloud. Stuck his head down at Casey for a few matches and showed the FD he was ready again. In he came and the rest is history. The steal in the GF to turn things was a piece of football magic / folklore that all Demon faithfull will never forget. Thanks for the premiership and truly wish you much success at the Doggies. Thank Lucifer it wasn't the peptides.- Trade Rumours 2023

I'd gladly hire a make up artist and put a torso muscle suit on for a year LH if someone offered me that sorta coin! I limit it to a year as i'd probably end up spending most of it in hospital recovering from various things or being conpletely rebuilt a la Steve Austin (actor not wrestler)- Trade Rumours 2023
Very aware it's one of, if not the toughest positions to play. Anyway we are poles apart on Chandler's second half performance it seems. Statistically his average player rating in the back half (Rnds 13 - 24 vs Rnds 1 - 12) was down 17%. Can he correct and put in a more consistent season in 24? I'm sure he has the potential but that is his challenge imv.- Trade Rumours 2023
A bit average at VFL level for most of the season is a generous assessment EO. Towards the end he fell off a cliff. Unless we're intending to have him as some sort of cover / chop out for Max as sub or off the bench then i don't see the need. That very opportunity presented itself in the SF but where was he? So if he isn't there for those sort of scenarios, and we have to assume he isn't as Simon showed us that by his own inaction, then he's merely clogging the list for another potential talent. And potentially getting in the road of existing young TF talent umder development at Casey such as Jeffo. Sure, if we hadn't recruited Fullarton i might understand the reasoning in terms of experience and clubman assistance at VFL level as you're suggesting. Regardless Jeffo (and even JVR if he ends up back at Casey for short stints) has that in spades with the likes of Macca & BB already spending plenty of time down their in 23 and likely to do so at stages in 24. Were Schache a young JVR / Jeffo type rookie i get it. Or a proven performer servant of the club like a Macca or BB. He doesn't fit either end of that and has had plenty of chances. He's hardly setting any sort of club land example playing average or worse games at Casey to the rookies around him imv. I'm sure he's a nice fella and the FD must have had a reason. Good luck to him. But would love to know what their reasoning was . Especially after the Fullarton news.- Trade Rumours 2023

Not saying he has to kick the average of 1 to 2 (1.5) every match Jnr. What i'm saying is if he isn't at least kicking a goal (minimum) in say 3 out of 5 then what else is he bringing to the table and that his second half last season was a long way off the level. Consistency is key at AFL level if we're going to keep up and/or edge ahead of the best clubs. Difficult posi to play i get it but there's always room for improvement and we can't have players going missing for large chunks of a season. Goody did say we need to be uncompromising yes? And part of his mantra at he end of 2020 was "ruthless". I assume that's still in the mix?- Trade Rumours 2023
Disappointing second half aside from maybe one match where he hit the scoreboard. If he isn't averaging a goal or two most matches i'm not sure what weapons he's bringing and can't see how he holds his place on the list beyond 24. Laurie & AMV must also be on their last hoorah next season surely.- The No T$ No B$ Thread
That reads a bit like the lyrics of the odd David Bowie top 40 hit. I believe he would often write parallel interchanging lyrics, which may have rhymed in places, but the topics from either verse had anything to do with the other. Lets hope all the boys are on the same page by the time we get to 24. H_T, any relation to yeh olde d'lander, High Tower?- The No T$ No B$ Thread
