Finals 2021
I think Oliver was born to play finals. I just feel that he will rise to the occasion. He was a baby in 2018. He is not anymore. I am probably most excited for May. Baring any disasters next week, he gets to finally play finals. He must be salivating. Watch out forwards.

Joel Smith signs on for 2022
He was serviceable. Thatโs all you can ask from a depth player.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
Hibbo is the best replacement for Hunt we have. He has loads of experience. Good pace. Can do good lockdown roles when required. He is certainly the best option until Hunt is back.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Today was a performance of self preservation. Do enough but donโt get hurt. We are a week away from finals. Top 4 secured. Why would you risk injury or suspension against a team sitting 17th on the ladder? We won by 41 points with the handbreak firmly sitting in neutral. This is what professionals teams do.

Finals 2021
Worth noting that the only teams Port have beaten in those rounds not outside the top 8 are the two Sydney teams. Sydney was at AO. Theyโve had a soft draw.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
I hate that we canโt be there to enjoy this climb that weโve all waited so so long for. We deserve to be there to cheer on the club, but my god if our performance in 2021 hasnโt been the biggest joy giver of the year for you, then youโre doing a hell of a lot better than most. It has been a glorious distraction and something truly worth keeping going for. So thank you Melbourne for making 2021 a year that we might actually all never forget for the right reasons!

NON MFC: Rd 22 2021
You need to remember tho that a lot of these sides have put so much effort just to make finals itโs going to be a big ask to have them continue at this pace. Sydney is the only side in the bottom part of the 8 that really scares me. GWS are also very good but again their form is very up and down and they barely made the 8. Losing to them earlier this year will also be a good thing for us as we wonโt take them lightly.

Actually yes. Game was in Tassie for one. Clarko on a mission to give Hawks board the fingers. Dogs lost Bruce so need time to adjust. Freoโs list is decimated by injuries.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
The MROโs view is that Geelong can do no wrong and theyโve all put big wagers on them to win a flag.

Again look who Essendon and GWS are playing.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Ask May how his eye socket is going ๐ก I never want to see players injured but if Hawkins blows a hammy off the bone next week I would be delighted.

NON MFC: Rd 22 2021
West Coast have to beat Brisbane in Brisbane and Freo need to beat St Kilda by a massive margin and hope Essendon lose to Collingwood. Good [censored] luck. GWS play Carlton. Lol.

NON MFC: Rd 22 2021
Bye bye West Coast.

But if finals are in WA itโs much better to not have WC in finals with their insufferable fans and the rigged umpiring.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
If Dogs beat Port on Friday I wonder if we make a few late changes and rest a couple of guys. If Port wins we will need to go all out to make sure we donโt end up in Adelaide week one.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
Geelong again just having the time of their lives out there lining up blokes and dumping them in tackles. God I hate that club so much. Please letโs smash them next week and in finals.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Channel 7 reporting Hawkins expected to have no case to answer. Of course. [censored] I hate that club.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
I agree. But just reporting what was said.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
I just looked at time on ground stats. A lot of our better players had a lot less TOG than usual. Trac was on the bench almost 20 minutes today. Oliver 15 minutes. Gawn 27 minutes off the ground. Gus had a full 30 minutes on the bench. We clearly went in with a plan to rest guys. We tried a few different things in the middle. We rested May. We wanted to get over the line and we did with minimum effort. Perfect outcome!

MFCSS special finals' edition support club
Melbourne winning the premiership in front of a strong booing crowd in Perth with none of us able to attend. Mark McGowen handing the premiership medal to Gawn and declaring him and hot spot.
