Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
It literally doesn’t matter who the club picks or what process they go through, the same whiney [censored] on this site will complain and moan and tell us all how bad of a decision we made, how much this club is a shambles and how unhappy they are. Some people just love the sound of their own miserable voice.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
What’s he said that’s upset you? He was asked if he’d like to coach again and said we are an appealing option with a great history. How dare he?! Should have said I would never coach that loser club!

TRAINING: Saturday 9th August 2025
Any chance his re-signing gets announced before I die of old age? 😂

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Losing a grand final by under a kick is very different to losing 4 finals in a row and never even making a prelim post a grand final win. I think had we made a prelim post 2021 things would be different. Buckley may be the wrong guy for the job, but discussing him like he’s been a total failure at the Pies is simply wrong. It’s like saying Longmire was a total success but ignoring his grand final record.

People talk about Buckley like the Pies didn’t lose a grand final under him by less than a goal thanks to some Dom Sheed shenanigans. Should we look at the loses Longmire suffered in grand finals?

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
He’s being managed. I reckon his season is done, or alternatively they’ll bring him in next week and manage another player as we have a short break ahead of the Hawks game. Chaplin mention management ahead of that game in his presser. I would give Lindsay the rest of the season off and set him up for a big pre season. He has nothing left to prove this season, has shown plenty.

I’m becoming quite confident that Buckley was always our main target- PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Sorry but if McVee is going to not stay at Melbourne because he’s played one game as a sub after some very ordinary performances that he’s gotten away with all season, then frankly speaking he doesn’t belong in our team. I want to keep him, without a doubt, but he’s had a contract for 18 months that he’s yet to sign. I don’t think where he starts in round 20 will be the deciding factor.- May to Tribunal
Hey @Redleg what did I say? MRO making up rules on the fly? Well I would never!- PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
McVee actually could make a good sub on the wing if they want to try something different.- PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Interesting no Lindsay. Maybe they’ve decided to wrap up his season early. Get him set up for a big pre season.- How you doing?
The best captain out there. Nobody has had to deal with more highs and lows than Max in recent years. Carries himself so well, is forever the club's biggest cheerleader and handles every situation perfectly. Honestly he's the only person at our club who genuinely makes me feel positive every time he speaks. I never think we are in a trouble after I hear Max. But the man must be dead tired. How long can he keep carrying this entire organisation on his shoulders? We have to give him better support going forward. We hear far too little from Alan Richardson who is our FD manager. IMO he needs to be replaced with not just an experienced head, but someone with media clout who can be the spokesperson for this club in bad times. Max can't do it all.- Simon Goodwin Sacked
He will be moving to Sydney with his wife I'd imagine. I reckon a role at Sydney or GWS. Or a nice media gig.- PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
They might just drop Sharp and make McVee sub?- NON-MFC: Round 22
And [censored] want us to hire Hird. He ruined that club for 20 years and counting.- PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
I really like Chaplin. He's been very successful for us and I hope he stays on as an assistant or development coach going forward. A familiar face might not be a bad thing to keep, in the midst of all the changes that are coming. It is pretty obvious from listening to him that we have our targets already lined up and are confident one of them will be appointed fairly soon. If we can get someone in in the next 5-6 weeks that will be ideal. Gives a new coach plenty of time to get themselves sorted pre draft and trade period. Not to mention time to get new assistants sorted. I can't imagine too many others will keep their job. And well done Adams. Been wanting to see him debut for a while now.- NON-MFC: Round 22

I will eat my hat if Newcombe is suspended MRO is a joke- NON-MFC: Round 22
This happened to the Pies before their 2023 flag where they had a drop off before the end of the season. I’m definitely not counting my chickens. @binman do you think Pies are loading ahead of finals?- NON-MFC: Round 22
Like choosing between [censored] your pants and vomiting Lose lose.- How you doing?
I always say if you survived Neeld’s reality bus, you’ll survive anything We are all trauma bonded for life- Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Not sure we will necessarily go after big names. You might have a new coach lure some free agents to fill gaps and we can also now trade 2 years worth of picks. Our list is not in a diabolical state. There’s a lot of natural growth to come from our young players, and you have the opportunity to get Trac and Clarry and Lever and Fritsch back to their best and very quickly rise back up the ladder. May, Viney and Melksham are the only 3 best 22 players who will likely continue to decline with age next year. I’d add Gawn too but he’s somehow getting better with age. Freak of nature.- Welcome to Demonland Bailey Laurie
I wonder if McQualter would have some interest in him. Not saying we’d get a massive trade, but likewise what’s the point of keeping him on if we don’t think he’s worth a game in even the deadest of seasons. - Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
