Petty 100% goes back with Lever out. He can play the intercept role and May and Tomlinson will play the shut down role. Lucky for us Essendon are missing their two starting tall forwards. I would be interested to try Rivers on Stringer. Similar body shape. Rivers definitely has the size and speed to cover him. He can run with him midfield and forward. Could be a decent matchup in the absence of Hibbo. I think McVee and Bowey are both too slight and Gus doesn’t have the speed.

A wonderful story for Corey. Really pleased for him. Certainly hope he plays better than Jackson.

So I take it he’s playing? How does it work for the cheer squad if a player has a milestone coming up but isn’t cemented in the 22?

On a side note, I know footy is a tough game, but gees it really broke my heart to see Hunt so sad after the game. He was a real favourite of mine at Melbourne. Always tried his hardest and clearly didn’t want to leave. I wish him all the best. Thought he was very good today!

The young players know the competition for spots is on and they’re all delivering. Sparrow was very very good. He played on Gaff who did nothing. McVee is some sort of revelation. Rivers has really taken his game to another level and Chandler makes me happy. Has been sensational.
