Yep and behind the ball we are excellent. But it’s like our brain goes into full blown meltdown when we go forward. I have never seen so many elite players do so many dumb things when a goal is in sight. It has now become endemic and we can’t seem to fix it. Of course losing our best forward doesn’t help. We are absolutely done if Fritta is out long term.

Another game where we are simply not making the most of our plentiful opportunities. So infuriating. Petracca with simple goal kicking just letting us down time and time again. For such a talented player, it’s inexplicable.

Hey Einstein, we could absolutely finish top 2 with our percentage gap. Port winning today makes it much less likely. If a side like Essendon get out spot in the top 4, we can’t win the flag anyway, so what does it matter?

Top 2 is a better goal. Let’s not be cocky and think that playing Port in Adelaide or Pies in week one is going to be a better result than a home final in week one ffs!

Honestly anyone who wanted Essendon to lose doesn’t understand how this season could play out. Very poor result for us.

Agreed. We realistically cannot finish first. The game and percentage gap between us and Pies is too great. However if we only lose one more game from here on, and it’s entirely possible with our draw, we can definitely overtake Port on percentage and Lions on points. Especially if we beat the Lions in 2 weeks time. Finishing second would be the absolute best possible outcome as we stay at the G and avoid Pies.

It is entirely plausible that if Port lose today we could finish as high as second. They have 3 tough games from here they could definitely lose - Pies, Adelaide and Geelong in Geelong.
