Oh the joys of being a Melbourne supporter. I was so calm on the plane. Now I want to stab something. This is so Melbourne! Even letting Collingwood kick those late goals is so us. What a [censored] way to end the season!

I am about to board a plane to Melbourne. I will be wanting Adelaide to win because they are my finals team this year and I really like the way they play football. But unlike us they have nothing to play for and West Coast do. We are the only team that epically choked this weekend. I hope West Coast are the second. But gees I am sick and tired of our lazy pissweak mentality and it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for our players to experience the very real consequences of putting in a half arsed effort during games.

Only got ourselves to blame for this stupid situation. I hope the players are sitting at home feeling sick to their stomachs right now having blown a golden opportunity to make finals. Idiots!

I was obviously talking about teams in final contention. Carlton and Gold Coast have nothing to play for!

Every team expected to win so far has. I guess you could mount an argument for GWS losing but that was definitely a 60-40 game given it was played in Geelong Only Melbourne has disappointed massively and showed no fight and the sad thing is, nobody is really surprised. I don't even think the players are surprised.

Roos is a proven success. Goodwin has done nothing of note yet. Roos took a club on its knees and completely changed it from top to bottom. So far we have underachieved under Goodwin, especially mentally. Having said that, 7 coaches haven't solved our softness so I'm not sure who will/can.

And let's just look at Carlton. Nothing to play for but they are truly giving it a go. We are a soft mentally weak team. Have been for the 20 years I've been a member.

Nobody can seriously blame the umpires. We were woeful for about 80% of the game. When we weren't playing soft gutless millionaire footy, we were turning it over like nobody's business. Pies wanted it. We didn't care. I saw half a team who just did the bare minimum. So few players stood up. A team that wants and deserves final works together to make it happen. Instead I saw dropped heads, sooking to the umpires and a complete lack of hunger.

Last year was ambitious. This year was a given.

I'm just glad I'll be on a flight back to Melbourne tomorrow night so I can avoid the agony of waiting on the Adelaide West Coast result. Being a Melbourne supporter is a full time shitfest of a job.

Not making finals this year or making it by 0.01% on the back of another team's failure is a failed season. 11 years. Now make it 12. The club earmarked finals. The club pretty much failed.

I'm not saying they do, but we don't deserve it either. We will be making up numbers and honestly I don't want to waste yet another weekend watching us get destroyed. We couldn't even stand up against Collingwood. Imagine us against Sydney or Port at home. Oh lord!

Yep they were clapping as this bunch of soft losers walked off the ground. I hope Goodwin tears them a new one, but honestly what's the point? Our coaches are just as much to blame for our soft starts and our poor tackling efforts

And I honestly hope we don't make finals. We don't deserve to.

We are a soft club. We have no leaders. Our coaching group has no idea how to get us ready for big games. It makes me physically ill to watch our fans at the race clapping this effort. What a joke. There isn't a single player in the leadership team today who deserves to be there next year. This has been a problem for years and nothing has changed. Disgusting effort from Gawn, Jones, McDonald, Lewis, Vince. Even Jetta was ordinary. I take heart from guys like Trac and Hunt and Oliver and ANB who tried and gees I feel for them. It feels like a really wasted season. We had it all in front of us and dropped massively easy games and went to water under pressure from a team playing for nothing. I am so sick of seeing Melbourne players looking deflated after the game. It's your fault. You did this to yourselves. I hope it burns you in the guts the way it burns us. But gees it doesn't look like it out on the ground.

Honestly we don't deserve to make finals. We lost to North twice and Freo and we choke under even a hint of pressure. If we make it we will get done by 100 points anyway so what's the point?

Tom McDonald needs his legs cut off. He is a joke today. Why the hell didn't he go for goal??
