A memo to Metro: it’s ok to finish train works in under a decade and we would all love to have functioning train lines this century. Driving 25 minutes to then catch the train for another 25 minutes is an insanity I could do without.

Being a senior coach is about so much more than tactics and team selection. The single most important aspect of being a senior AFL coach is bringing people together. You can have 100 assistants who are tactical masterminds, but if the senior coach doesn't have the respect, love and support of his players, the club is cooked. See West Coast.

Why did we retain Schache as well? Verrell aside, the other two aren’t in development mode. If they can’t fill a role when it’s clearly required, they should be delisted and make room for others who can. This is of course not on the players themselves, but on our list management. I understand the gamble on Fullarton, but the Schache retention as well makes no sense. Especially when we had Tomlinson stay on.

No chance Tmac is having a great season in defense and Essendon have a lot of talls we need to cover.

I have to question why Fullarton is on our list.

Because after spending a whole day with your kids, the last thing you want to do, is spend the whole evening with them too.

There is a reason we pay for reserved seats in a dry zone. I cannot stand sitting amongst fans who constantly obscure your view as they get up to buy endless supply of half strength beer. Not to mention I don't want to sit amongst drunks. If you go to the footy to get drunk, and spend most of the game getting up to go to the bar, just stay home and drink for half the price.
