Lewis is so soft in the contest. Why why why why why is he being gifted games?! He is embarrassing himself.
-
Forward line again letting us down. Stop getting in each other’s way!
-
Seriously!!! No pre game?!

Hurry up Foxtel. I don’t pay $10000 a month to watch Collingwood singing their song!

Shaun Smith not happy with Joel's medical treatment.

And this to me is the most disappointing aspect of this. We took risks with a player who isn’t automatically in our best 22, as if that’s acceptable. I mean if it was a do or die match I would understand, but it was a practice game and we lost! -
I raise you mullets.

Ablett wins appeal. System is broken
Jaded No More replied to buck_nekkid's topic in Melbourne Demons
Of course not. But the point is Oliver would get suspended for that because he isn’t Ablett. That’s the entire flaw in the system. Ablett could murder a basket of kittens and publicly support religious homophobes and he still wouldn’t get so much as a please explain from the AFL. Big names and big clubs get an armchair ride from all sections of the AFL hierarchy. The rest don’t. -

I have no idea if Mission is good or not. Roos endorsed him so that’s all I can go on. However I hope Pert and Mahoney are leaving no stone unturned to get the best possible replacement for him. Look at sporting clubs around Australia who have great injury recovery records and go hard after their people. Do whatever it takes. A healthy list is first and foremost in achieving success. You can have the best team, but if they can’t get themselves fit to play, they’re of no use to you. As for Joel Smith, I’ve said enough about my feelings towards his mismanagement. I think if his name was Oliver or Gawn he wouldn’t have returned to the ground. And that’s very disheartening. If he does have OP then why the lack of transparency? -
That’s sad to hear. But as Mahoney said alcohol shouldn’t be used as a fix. In general young people tend to try and mask their issues with booze. It never works.
-
The ‘drama’ is the club has a no alcohol rule while in rehab. Neither Gawn nor Jones are injured. This in itself is not a hangable offense by any means, but it’s another disappointing day for a player we have already invested a lot in who so far has given us SFA back. At this rate Lever is going to be back playing before May does. The guy is 27. He has little time to waste not doing the right thing 99% of the time.
-
Correct. Whether he is almost recovered or not, he is clearly not at 100% fitness as he is no chance to play this week and did not play last week. This means he is still in rehab recovering from a 5 week injury. If the rule states don’t drink, then don’t drink. FFS how goddamn hard is it to stay off the [censored] for 5 weeks?! Our culture of drinking is just mind boggling. He knows the rules. He chose not to follow them. If this was an isolated incident you’ll let it slide, but geez he has been incredibly poor since joining this club on very very big coin. He has zero credits to his name to say “what’s the big deal”. It’s not about the drinking. I’m sure he wasn’t wasted and disorderly. It is about choosing not to follow clearly stated team rules which are there for a reason. If you can’t be bothered put in this minimal effort, then questions need to be asked about what sort of effort you are willing to put in elsewhere.

Thrilled. The last player who didn’t make footy his priority at our club has a 10,000 page thread about him. This won’t end well.
-
Well if the reporter is a liar then fine. But if he does have to front up, then the only one who needs a spell is May. This bloke is on $700k a season. He hasn’t been fit since turning up to the club. He got himself suspended in a pre season game, played one average game and then proceeded to do a groin. An injury he has now dragged out for 5 weeks with no end in sight. He is 27 years old. This was his second chance at success. He is blowing it.
-
Top notch from the moment he got to the club. Super professional. A real leader. With leaders like that at GC it’s no wonder they were a hot mess. And yes he can drink a few pints but the fact he has to front up and please explain himself means he broke team rules. The man is unfit and battling skin folds and groin issues. Beer is clearly not the answer to him getting on the field.
-
Law of averages suggests otherwise. If Lockhart misses Hawthorn get the ball with 1:30 left and can take it down the other end and kick a goal. They almost did that anyway but they had less time and all we needed to do was bring it back down to our forwards just once more to win it.
-
He looked very sluggish during the warm up. Maybe he wasn’t 100%? Not sure if sore or sick but he looked to be hampered.
-
Yep. One is an example of a player just collecting pension, the other is an example of a player who still has interest in succeeding.

The victim might be an asshat but violence is never ok. Be the bigger person and walk on. Or report him to ground staff if he’s behaving poorly. Don’t hit someone.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
Jaded No More replied to Steve13's topic in Melbourne Demons
He would want to do more to keep his spot in the team, especially when Weid finds form. But what a dream come true to play your first game off the rookie list in a win at the G. -
I knew he looked familiar. Umpires as badly as he played. Which is a huge achievement.
-
It was a brilliant ploy to get almost a full minute off the clock. I reckon we won the game because of that.
-
Honestly if you’re the sort [censored] who goes to the footy to get [censored], you’re a moron and should drink yourself silly at home. Pathetic behavior and not something we want associated with our club.
-
Straight from the horses’ (literally) mouth: And Harmes was a crucial factor in his side’s win, gathering 31 disposals and shutting down Jaeger O’Meara in the final term – a challenge he thoroughly enjoyed. “I loved it. Usually when I’m playing pretty good footy I’m playing on someone and beating them and then winning my own footy and I thought I did that today,” he said. “I love the challenge of playing on good players so hopefully next week if I get the role again I’ll try and do it to my best ability. “ So why hasn’t he been doing this role all year Goodwin?!

He was trying to come on. We are so disorganized with our rotations. Truly we are lost without runners.
