  1. The body and courage of a 30 year old. Beast.
  2. [censored] lol at Richmond supporters saying we are insufferable. They are a bunch of abusive drunk bozos. Iโ€™ve been to games before where they were winning and I felt genuinely unsafe. Even on the train home last night, a few drunk Richmond fans were trying to start something. Low class bogans.
  3. My husband grew up a Richmond supporter. Then lost interest. Iโ€™ve been slowly converting him for 5 years, but gees itโ€™s been tough given where Richmond were at and where we were at. Last night he was celebrating like the rest of us. I finally did it! So cheers for the win Dees! ?
  4. My favorite is the [censored] who said we are good team but also that we are clearly on drugs ??
  5. If we carry on and smash Norf, the answer will be yes. For the first time in my Melbourne supporting life.
  6. I really canโ€™t see how they can keep Brown at Casey. He is a walk up starter, and just because he hasnโ€™t played for us before, I think people forget what a good forward he is. Having a big presence up forward taking marks is just going to make us that much better. Yes Tmac is playing extremely well, but he can push further up the ground. Imagine Fritsch getting the third best defender because the opposition has to cover Brown, Tmac, a resting Jackson or Gawn and Fritsch. That is going to create a totally different dynamic. We know that at some point or another we need to get Brown into the team. We have a fairly โ€œsoftโ€ game next week, against Brownโ€™s old team at a ground he plays well at (probably). It makes sense to bring him in now and start working out the best forward structure around him. If we can kick a few more goals a game, who is going to complain?
  7. I felt like we were just trying to ice the clock in the last half of the last quarter. Once Richmond missed a few in the start of the last and Kosi kicked that goal, it was all over and we just went defensive. Fair enough. We tackled like machines all game and were out on our feet. I know they were a man down in the end with Dusty out, but they had 3 extra days rest coming into this game. We were exhausted and played out of our skin for 3 quarters.
  8. Stood up on the big stage. Absolute star in the making.
  9. 6- Salem (robbed of the medal) 5- Trac 4- Lever 3- Jackson 2- McDonald 1- Oliver
  10. Out: Melksham In: Brown We didnโ€™t get a 60 goal a season forward to win games for Casey. Itโ€™s time.
  11. Really ruined the moment ?
  12. I think Melksham doesnโ€™t do enough to keep a 60 goal a year forward out of our side. We didnโ€™t get Ben Brown to play for Casey. We need to make him work and next week is the perfect time. All that aside, that was an enormous win. A season defining win. To be challenged early and not only grind it out but dominate, was incredible. Our best players all played well on the big stage. But for me Jackson was a revelation. A 19 year old giant, wet ball, big stage, and he just did not miss a beat. Amazing game. A great night at the footy and a great night for Jonesy.
  13. Richmond is still good enough to turn this around. Every entry inside their forward 50 is a goal out of their [censored]. We have to not drop even 1% of our intensity.
  14. I see it but I donโ€™t believe. Richmond are still good enough to win this. Also umpire #22 is a dead set [censored]
  15. Jackson is 19. Ffs how?! Umpires and Richmond can go and get [censored].
  16. We were very nervous but seems to have settled. Gotta start getting on top in Centre clearances if we are to have any chance.
  17. I donโ€™t care where we play them as long as the game goes ahead. The last thing we need is yet another interruption to our season and having to cram this game in before finals. Also lol at the arrogance here. Nothing would be more Melbourne than beating Richmond tonight and then losing to Norf next week.
  18. Next week, if Covid doesnโ€™t ruin things, is the time to bring Weid or Brown back and see if we can play 3 or even 4 talls. Richmond are too potent on the counterattack and having to many forwards who donโ€™t apply defensive pressure is risky, especially when theyโ€™ve never played together cohesively. Good move to pick Fritsch IF he is 100%
  19. Super human recovery from both guys. I hope Fritsch is right to go, because heโ€™s a defensive liability if he isnโ€™t leading and marking.
  20. Seems unlikely. I mean who have the players come into contact with? They just arrived. I doubt they are out partying. They'll have their movements limited, they will get tested before returning home and then tested again during the week. I don't think the Tassie government will give up the cash from the AFL over a handful of cases on the other side of the country, and if Tassie is happy to let them in, the AFL definitely won't say no.
  21. Game going ahead with no crowd. Lucky North, they are now a 1% chance of winning.
  22. It would make no difference to next week if this game is cancelled. Just like when our game against Essendon was cancelled, the following weeks went ahead as scheduled. They will likely play this game during the bye or in the week prior to finals if no other game is impacted during the season.
  23. Well firstly I assume the AFL can organise a special charter flight like they did last year. Or alternatively they could get off the plane and then board another one immediately to Tassie. The risk of them getting infected is so minimal given they are coming to play, so are off the plane, on a team bus, into the hotel etc. They could quite easily have their movements limited. I suggest the game in Perth will go ahead but potentially with no crowds. Basically like last year.
  24. Sounds like it will be a 3 day lockdown. I suggest North will travel straight down to Tassie from WA and our game should go ahead as scheduled. Also [censored] Covid and the endless [censored] coming out of these returned travellers and these quarantine hotels. 18 months later and we still can't get it right.
