Jones has been ok. Involved in some good forward movement. The disappointment for me is Melksham. Captain needs to stand up. Been soft in the contest. Not good enough. Needs to go hard and smash some contests.

I think Fritsch is playing decoy at FF which I’m not mad about. No shocker to lose the ruck against two proper rucks when we have TMac and 6 gamer in there. We need to win more contested footy in the middle. Do that and we should win.

Weideman has to work with a sport psych. The goal kicking is all confidence. He is a beautiful kick and has excellent technique. But if he misses one or two gettable ones he just can’t get over it.

Except his goal kicking, Weideman has been brilliant.

Not for us to make call. We don't know what goes on inside the club. Do I think it's an odd choice? yes. Would I have preferred May get the job given he is an experienced leader, ex- captain and in good form? yes. Does it actually matter? no. We have lost our captain and vice captain, so it is up to everyone tonight to stand up and lead. Jones, May, Lever, McDonald, Hibberd, I am expecting these guys to be accountable from a leadership perspective in the absence of our actual leaders. Could explain why they brought back TMac to help lead a very inexperienced forwardline.

Could not have summarised it better myself. 2020 has been such a stellar year, that without a doubt losing to Norf is definitely the next big disaster on the cards. Got my wine(s) ready.

Yeah I mean our opponent are flying in. I can’t imagine it would be too difficult to get an extra man on a charter flight. The issue I have is, given Gawn was sore going to Adelaide and carrying an injury, why wouldn’t they take Preuss to Adelaide? If they haven’t it suggests to me they won’t want him to play.

Love all these options. Unsure we can execute such dramatic changes in 4 days when we couldn’t execute basic kicking with an entire summer of practice.

Yep. Teams win clearances off Gawn’s dominance regularly. I’m not fussed about that. I’m just worried about our love of clearing the defensive 50 thru Gawn. Without him we have no marking target down the line. So that’s a big worry for me. Maybe play Jackson on the wing and then let him ruck.

Time for Gus to shine. No Viney means no reason not to give him 80% time on ball and let him carry on with his good second half form from last week. Unless I’m reading my Instagram wrong it looks like Tom is still in QLD so I don’t think he will play. Could be wrong or they could fly him over with the North players. It’s not the end of the world for me if Jackson and Tomlinson share the ruck duties.

It’s not the 4 weeks I care about. It was dangerous and it caused serious damage. Its simply the fact that the treatment of the AFL is completely inconsistent between big name players, big clubs, no name players and small clubs. And that is not a just or fair system. But the AFL isn’t alone. People with money are often able to get away with a lot more in the criminal justice system. It’s unfair but it’s life.
