GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs GWS
Smart to put Trac forward in this quarter as clearly they brought in De Boer to play on him. Also liked the set up with AVB in the clearances with Oliver. He is there to tackle rather than attack the footy so we donât have 90 players all jumping on the same ball getting in each otherâs way. Langdon playing on the right wing today also pleases me greatly after the debacle of last week.

Zurich Recommits for 2021
Really good news and a big tick for Pert. In these tough economic conditions, and with the rubbish this season has served up (remembering we were meant to have two big blockbusters against Richmond and Collingwood this season). More money to pay out Goodwin? ?

Caroline Wilson on MFC rumblings
I agree that footy stays within the footy department... except the board signs off on the footy department appointments. They gave Goodwin his contract and his extension, same with Pert and Mahoney. So they do take some level of blame here. We are like any other business with shareholders. Someone has to be accountable for poor return on investment. We are the worst return on investment business going around. No return in over 50 years! Where are our dividends?

'But then someone ate a bat' applies to pretty much every good thing anyone planned in 2020... weddings, holidays, footy premierships, leaving the house, coughing in public.

Correct. We love jumping at shadows at this club. Nobody was going to steal Goodwin or Harmes from under our noses.

Jeremy Cameron
Not true. They also go to clubs that can pay them lots.

Jack Viney Restricted Free Agent
On the one hand, Viney is one of the few mids we have who is consistent in his output. On the other hand, he plays a selfish style of footy which is sometimes detrimental to our overall midfield work. On the third hand, he is an excellent extractor of the footy, very good tackler and has a strong body. But my fourth hand points out that really, his kicking is limited, as is his decision making. This is a very tough one. You wouldn't move him on unless: He was adamant he wants out OR We got a player for him that fills a gaping hole on the list.... a small defensive forward, a speedy wingman, a FF (as if), or a quality half back rebounding defender. I am not interested in more picks or more inside mids.

The worst thing that has happened to this club in the past decade is the departure of Jackson. He saved this club from being a complete joke. I wish he had stayed longer.

The âmiss out on finalsâ cup match. Canât wait.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
The fact that we started Fritsch as an extra down back was bad enough (isnât that Leverâs role?), the fact that Langdon, our only winger started down the wrong wing and played there for nearly the whole game, is a mind boggling coaching move that was so revolutionary it made no sense.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
Everyone is spent. Everyone has had it tough. Most of us in Victoria donât have the luxury of still getting paid six figures, living in the sunshine with our loved ones, and being able to hang out with our mates. They would be doing it a lot tougher if they werenât footballers, but ordinary people living in Melbourne. These pathetic excuses are wearing thin for me. Theyâre in the same boat as every other club, and theyâre doing it a lot easier than 6 million other Victorians!
