  1. And I think they’re going to do a grand final parade which I think is nice for the players.
  2. Goes to show how little finals we've played, that I had no idea they had this award. The award makes no sense, because some teams will play 4 finals, some 3 and some 1. However if Oliver wins it, it is 100% fair and a great award!
  3. If we lose to Geelong in a prelim, it will officially be the end of me and 2021 will be declared the worst year in the history of years.
  4. This really hurts. I expected it, but my god it takes away a lot of the happiness I feel about this season. I know that it's very selfish, and of course I want us to win, even if the game is played on the moon... but all the things you dream about when you dream of your team winning a premiership after 57 years, have been taken away for us loyal supporters who have suffered long and hard to get here. 2021 is a total dumpster fire.
  5. I definitely prefer to play GWS, but Greene just made sure that won't happen. Beating Geelong 3 times in one season is going to be a big ask. On the other hand, they will be exhausted and we will be fresh. Their old legs might give out. I still hate both these teams with a passion and I hope they bash each other badly this weekend.
  6. Thank you to each and every Victorian who has done the wrong thing and ruined the grand final for us. Really, truly, thank you. And a special shout out to my mate Scotty for his vaccination stroll out program. I look forward to getting to the MCG in 2098.
  7. Greene is a cultural cancer. We talk about culture being so paramount in successful clubs. This guy is a captain with all the mental capacity and restraints of a toddler. He is constantly doing the wrong thing and costing his side. GWS have basically just lost the semi final thanks to him and his idiotic actions. If Viney or Gawn did that, I would be livid. GWS have a spineless coach with all the personality of a lampshade, and a bunch of star players who play like individuals for their big paydays. There is no unity and no team first mentality, and that is personified perfectly by their two leaders. One is in it for the money, the other is in it for Toby. Good luck to them.
  8. See you in the prelims Geelong.
  9. I think one thing we know for sure, is that if Jones is the sub in grand final and has to come on, he will leave absolutely nothing on the field. He will give us everything he has, as he has done for his entire career. Whether that’s good enough or whether his body can go for 4 quarters is another matter. But I don’t fear for a second that Jones on grand final day, in his last game, won’t kill him self for his teammates or this club.
  10. GWS and Greene have no respect for a competition that is keeping their soulless club afloat.
  11. I assume they’ll give him a big suspension on the assumption of an appeal where the number of weeks will be slightly downgraded. Either way, what great preparation for finals for GWS. Greene is such a wonderful leader.
  12. If even the players show no respect to umpires how can you expect supporters to?
  13. Absolute waste of oxygen he is.
  14. Paul Roos did something very important along with Jackson. He set up a good cultural foundation and good habits. That is his legacy and it cannot be underestimated
  15. Got a perfect 10 from the coaches this week. Again. This man is a superstar.
  16. Jesus Christ I feel so old.
  17. Him swearing after the siren was gold. Not so soft now are we Mitchy? God I despise him. Bog ordinary footballer with a pseudo tough guy persona.
  18. I thought I saw Vanders in Adelaide? He is surely there. Closer to selection than basically everyone in that photo bar Hunty.
  19. GWS is the worst of the lot. Mummy is literally rolled out every few weeks when he's semi fit to just belt guys in the ruck. And I won't even mention Toby Greene.
  20. I assume our ex president will be there, as he lives in Perth? I also heard it was 75 to WA and 55 to SA, hence why half the squad flew directly to Perth instead of jumping off in SA. Still, 75 is not a lot when you take your whole list, plus coaches, plus medical staff, plus media team. It leaves very little room for anyone else. I wonder if Pert went. I assume he has.
  21. We missed goals that we normally would kick. Brown and Tmac with two goals they rarely missed, and Jackson with 2 posters, which is very rare. But we actually kicked really well on the run, except Trac who missed two he would normally get. I agree that bad kicking is bad football. Essendon and Sydney killed themselves on the weekend with poor accuracy. In fact, Sydney kick straight and they win no problem.
  22. And this guy is meant to be their captain and spiritual leader. How [censored] would you be with his ridiculous ongoing behaviour? Lucky he plays for a club with no supporters, or the backlash would be massive. He has missed so many games due to his downright stupid behaviour.
  23. I saw this photo. No idea how I missed him. The hat maybe. I really love that we took the whole team. Gives the young kids something to build on and look forward to, and the older players a feeling of being a part of the journey. We talk a lot about Jones, but my heart also breaks for Jetta. What a warrior he has been for us. At times the only decent defender holding together a shambolic backline. I hope he stays at the club in a mentorship capacity beyond this season. He would be a wonderful role model for not just our indigenous players, but all our young players. He is an outstanding person on and off the field.
  24. As per Instagram, Hunt was running today and if you look carefully was doing some one legged jumps in the gym. Looks like he is a strong chance to return in 2 weeks, which is absolutely wonderful! Edit: I don't think anyone is picking on Smith. He is very inexperienced due to a mix of injuries and positioning. He wasn't terrible on the weekend, but we have two more wins left to get the premiership. We must pick the best possible team to get there. There is no room for player development or sentiments right now. As it is we are taking a big risk with Bowey, who while he's looked very poised, has only played a handful of games and is physically under developed. He would be an easy target for the opposition (Daniher tried it and failed), and he could blow up after a hard prelim slog. I don't think Smith is better than Hunt or Hibbo, and his body has not held up well in games, and therefore I would replace him with one of those guys.
  25. His attack on the footy and defensive effort has taken his game to the next level. No doubt being dropped from the team before the prelim in 2018 was something that he hasn't forgotten. I assume the club told him that his goal output will become less of a focus come finals if he can apply more defensive pressure. To his credit he has really done that in recent weeks and it has also seen him be rewarded with big scoreboard impact.
