Hopefully Brown was a close contact before today so he can return for the Port game.... of course hoping he doesn't get Covid is the main priority.

Oh bloody hell. Danger game just got more dangerous. Thankfully its Covid related and not an injury.

Feeling uneasy about this game. We are on a 9 game winning streak, we are not in the best form (which is totally fine for round 3, it’s a long season), we are carrying injuries and Essendon are trash. This can only mean one thing… we could be complacent and lose. If we are at 80% output or more we win and win well. They’ll struggle to kick a big score. But they will also be fired up and desperate to win. If we aren’t on our game for long enough they could win, and while we are bound to drop a game soon, I really really really don’t want it to be to those drug cheating a-holes.

AFL hates us except we always get the softest frees paid in our favour. Absolute sham the way their games are umpired.

Bont is a star. The Dogs are unimpressive though. Marvel is their comfort zone. Shame you don’t play there when it counts.

I never used to hate the Dogs but gees I’ve grown to really dislike them. Bont the one shinning light.

Bont has to be injured. He’s definitely well below his best.

I loath Greene but at least he’s a genuine gun Floppy mcfloppy is a bloody average player.

Getting the contracts for the 'lesser lights' (and I mean that with absolutely not disrespect to Spargs!) out of the way early is a good thing given we have two MASSIVE deals to get done this year in Jackson and Oliver.

It also would not have helped that he walked into a club that was a complete disaster on and off the field. Jackson would be hard pressed to find a club more stable or in a better on field position that ours right now.

All I keep hearing is how bad Oliver's shoulders are and how bad Trac's knee is. Imagine if these two ever get fit.

I think I read somewhere that IF we win this week, Bowey will have the best winning streak from debut ever recorded in the AFL at 10.

And Sydney have a plethora of excellent talls. They also have real cap pressures without the COLA.

So as we can see, it’s been a long long time since we lost someone we desperately wanted to keep. Say what you like about the club but list management and recruiting has been on point for a long time. Well before the on field success came the good player management off it.

But also why would you risk Lever or Hibbo in a round 3 game against a side that don’t have much of a forwardline either.

Who was the last player we really wanted to keep but they left anyway?
