  1. He was. My point was about us getting smashed by opposition and just coping it. I’m over it.
  2. I suppose starting 10-0 has given us the ability to be brave and drop games through loading. We did lose this game last year too. However I’m not sure that loading is the reason why we can’t hit a target going inside 50?
  3. Harmes got hit hard by Maynard and was vomiting on the sidelines. I am actually really sick and tired of sides coming out and physically hurting us and getting away with it. We don’t want suspensions, but Jesus give them some back. Protect your captain at least.
  4. Pies fans on the train talking about what an ordinary player Oliver is. At least I get a laugh tonight.
  5. Poor guy was buggered. He had hardly no rotation for a whole quarter. He’s just a kid and he was playing against that [censored] Cox who, like Mumford, is a thug masquerading as a D grade footballer.
  6. Concussion.
  7. It is 100% his back. He was holding it constantly. Channel 7 commentary is trash. We don’t deserve him. He is a warrior and I’m fuming that Cox, genuinely one of the worst footballers going around, gets to look like some sort of hero today playing on nobody after injuring Gawn. I hope he drops those stupid sunglasses in the toilet! We are in genuine trouble if Gawn is going to be out for a while or down on form due to the injury.
  8. May… unless he has more punch ons in the bye 🙄
  9. That is all true. But he isn’t reading the play well or using the footy well. He is not doing anything well at the moment and it’s really hurting us. Salem is badly out of touch and clearly needs a week in the VFL. Langdon hasn’t come back the same from the rib injury. Trac is all over the shop. Ben Brown is well down. Sparrow looks buggered. We look very bad all over the ground. Oliver and Gawn and Petty have been warriors the last 3 weeks. But 3 players can’t carry the side and today 2 of them were again hurt.
  10. Why oh why do we insist on not having a tall as the sub. FFS Tomlinson can play forward at a pinch, he can play wing. He can defend. Three weeks in a row we have defenders go down and the sub is a small forward. Also why didn’t we put Ben Brown in the ruck to help poor Gawn? This man is going to die on the field for this team. We don’t deserve him!
  11. He is being held together by duct tape and thin air ffs. He was immense. Lever is in some horrific form and is embarrassingly bad.
  12. Hope he enjoyed the view from the MCC
  13. Absolutely putrid day after a putrid week. I’m glad we have a bye. I need a break from this club for a week.
  14. On top of all the injuries we are just playing putrid football. I think unfortunately this season is not going to be another fairytale. We are a shadow of our former selves.
  15. Shame May isn’t playing….
  16. I hope Viney puts that little gutter rat on his [censored].
  17. Time to put this Ginnivin kid on his [censored]. Little [censored] mouthing off to Gawn. Who the hell do you think you are? Have you won a flag or been an AA 5 times? No. So shut the [censored] up!
  18. Steven May should be ashamed of himself
  19. North were never a strong enough club to bottom out. They have a small supporter base and low membership numbers. They also don’t have big cash flow like say West Coast, Essendon or Carlton. I think they feared that a prolonged period at the bottom will see them collapse, so they kept striving for middle of the table mediocrity, which in the long term only made everything worse. They are a nothing club. They don’t have the supporter base (Richmond, Essendon, Carlton) the history (Melbourne, Geelong) or the affluence (high profile supporters/ president) for anyone to care about where they are as a club. Essendon has gotten more attention being bottom 4 this year after making finals last year, than North has being a basket case for 4 seasons now.
  20. That he took offense to what May said. And fair enough. As I said in an earlier post, fat chance May says what he said to Jonesy. Yet he’s brave enough to say it to Smith. Very poor behavior.
  21. Using mental health to cover up genuinely poor behavior just minimizes the seriousness of those who really suffer from poor mental health. I’m not suggesting Smith hasn’t suffered from mental health problems, but let’s not for a minute blame that for using drugs and then having it recorded on social media. Seriously that’s not a mental health issue that’s a stupidity issue.
  22. Talent is wasted on the dumb
  23. Please please please don’t let this mean Petty is injured. We are holding it together by some duct tape as it is down back.
  24. Let me be very clear. I do not condone violence. Ever. And I have a feeling it got physical because all involved were drunk. Which makes the entire thing worse. Smith and May injured and therefore not allowed to drink. Melksham fighting to keep his career alive. None of them should have had so much alcohol that their judgement was so impaired to the point where they’re punching on in the street! And let’s be honest, these are all big solid guys. A beer or two wouldn’t impact them.
  25. All we need to top off this wonderful week is yet another defender to go down. Lever hasn’t been 100% all year. Sticky tape that sh it up and let’s go!
