Tom McDonald Sent for Scans
I don't know that for a fact, but I think it makes a lot of sense. He also has 2 sons, so you want to get that F/S eligibility too.

Tom McDonald Sent for Scans
I mean that's true, but he is versatile enough to play a few roles. He started his career at half back, he can play wing and forward, so he does have that flexibility you need. You will never play your best player as the sub, there is always a compromise to be made. I personally want to see JJ as sub, because I think he is a good enough player with a lot of versatility. But the club is keen to get Melksham to his milestone game so that's fine.

He is only good for a sub role now IMO as he doesn't impact the game for long enough. What he does well as a sub, is he is a low possessions high impact player, so he can come on, touch the ball 3 times and make something good happen with those 3 touches.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Brisbane
Surely if Fritta made the flight he plays. If they wanted to get some conditioning into him he'd play for Casey this weekend. May could be going as more of a backline leader / assistant coach, rather than to play, but with Fritta he is either in the side or he needs to gain fitness at Casey, no point flying him out if he's still in rehab.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Can't imagine why he wouldn't nominate the Dees. Have been training with us, his Dad is still involve at the club (presented McVee's jumper on the weekend), and we are doing very well as a club on and off the field. Would be crazy to go elsewhere.

NON-MFC: Rd 02 2023
Some cracking games this weekend. Other than Hawks vs Sydney, the rest could all go either way. Although you'd think Freo will destroy North

Why you should Become a Melbourne Supporter (according to Chat GPT)
We tried using it to auto generate web descriptions for our online stores, and it was not great... a lot of hilarious errors.

Remember we basically swapped Jack Watts for Fritch
Agreed. With the right guidance and coaching and leadership he could have been anything. But it wasn’t to be and he gave us the best medium forward in the competition so 🤷♀️

What they are saying in Springfield!
I agree with you. Brisbane are a better side than the Dogs, and I rate their medium and small forwards as some of the best in the league. While their midfield is a bit one dimensional, it is still a very strong contested midfield, and without the pace of Kosi it makes us more vulnerable. This won't be an easy game, but we are a better side than they are and we should win this if we play at our best.

Cry me a river hawks supporters!!!
I personally can't wait to taste the bitter tears of Geelong fans when they finally fall off a cliff. Delicious!

What they are saying in Springfield!
This. The only reason they beat us is because we were physically broken. Even their fans know it. We should destroy them, and Viney needs to LEGALLY send Zorko that small annoying piece of human excrement into next week.

- 2023 Injury List
This injury list makes me extremely nervous- Tom McDonald Sent for Scans
Woah woah woah, nobody is saying JVR can't be great or better than TMac. But TMac plays a very specific role, a role that requires elite endurance. JVR is two years in, his endurance is not at TMac's level. In fact, even with 10 pre seasons under his belt he probably won't have TMac's endurance, which is at the top level of AFL players league wide. Very few players his size can cover the same KMs he covers in a game. It's also why someone like ANB, who isn't the most polished perfect footballer going around, is a best 18 player for us. The ground he covers at top speed is elite and nobody on our list can play that role because nobody has the aerobic capacity to do so. Our entire forward set up fell apart like a cheap suit when TMac got injured last year. Not because he is the greatest marking and goal kicking forward going around, but because he is a very disciplined role player who rarely loses an aerial contest and can get to contest after contest. While I thought he was just ok on Saturday night, what he did is allow Ben Brown and Gawn to play deeper while he was able to neutralise the aerial contests on the wing. He also does some forward rucking, and he gives us the ability to cover a tall defender if one goes down mid game. These are things that will take JVR a long time to perfect, no matter how good a player he can be at AFL level. I think he will get games this year, as he should, and I think he has the potential to be the next Tmac (and hopefully better), but we are not a club that has to play the messiah card anymore. We have lots of good players, which means any youngsters coming through can come in with no pressure and just slowly learn their craft as needed.
