  1. Very intriguing about Petty May is hopefully right to go. But Tmac has to be sub. With May just back from a calf, and JVR on debut, it’s just so risky not taking a tall in who can play ruck, forward or back. Whereas if we lose a mid we have a plethora of options to cover them, including Gus, Rivers and ANB.
  2. Hey, I said it made me nervous and I was right
  3. A magnificent footballer we are lucky to call ours
  4. Really amazing news about Gawn too. If you listened to the Selwyn podcast he said the next 1-2 weeks is sort of crucial to tick off some markers to be able to run and train again. That he’s doing that a week post injury is awesome.
  5. What’s happened to Joel Smith now???
  6. Looking at the emergencies you have to make Tmac the sub don’t you? If one of May, BB, Petty, Grundy or JVR get hurt we are up the proverbial. Tmac can basically fill on their roles and maybe the shorter sub minutes will suit him given he looks to be struggling with the foot.
  7. Unless it’s about keeping it from the opposition? I dunno you’re probably right. I guess if he plays for Casey we will know. Maybe he just has missed too much footy and needs to get himself right.
  8. Wow Tmac dropped. That’s a big statement or he’s literally buggered and they don’t want to tell us.
  9. It really is. And it is a massive honour to wear it. I hope Jonesy hands him his jumper. If he can give our club half as much as Jonesy did, he'd be doing extremely well!
  10. We didn't win the flag because 3 of our most important players were broken by the time finals came around. Gawn was seconds away from missing with a rib injury, Trac played with a broken leg and Clarry with a broken hand. Lever was barely holding his ankles together, Fritta was injured in a warm up and Tmac was out with a busted foot. Oh and Jackson had checked out, Salem was injured, and BBB couldn't walk let along run. We finished second on the ladder despite our less than ideal forward line functionality and I still maintain that had we stayed really fit we would have won the flag.
  11. Good result for us. And happy for JUH after the rubbish he went through last week. Embarrassing that we are still dealing with racism.
  12. This game is so painful
  13. Really want the Dogs to get up even tho I despise them. I can’t stand the Lions either and it’s good for us to have competitors drop games they should win.
  14. Yeah that’s an interesting one. Hopefully all is ok. May redoing a calf in round 3 after playing 0 games and missing half a season sounds about as MFCSS as you can get.
  15. Oh get absolutely stuffed Can we do some sort of sage cleanse? Too much bad juju
  16. Wait what? Source?
  17. It's going to be a fascinating team selection this week. I am wondering if Tommo stays in as well as May, so we can play Lever in a purely third man up intercept role in the absence of Gawn. That leaves Grundy and TMac to share the ruck duties, with JVR potentially taking a few forward half ruck contests.
  18. He also wouldn't want to put in 2 stinkers in a row. I expect a big response from him.
  19. Going to be very special seeing the #2 run out on the G again. Hopefully Jonesy can hand him his jumper.
  20. We might have finally found our Hibbo/Jetta replacement
  21. Thought his comment re: not having another true bye again were interesting. The AFL has screwed us 2 years running with not giving us a proper bye, and it's absolutely ridiculous.
  22. At least we aren't paying him $87,000 per mark 🤪
  23. When one door closes (Gawny), another one opens. Congrats to JVR on his debut. Go well!
  24. The playing group clearly don't agree, as they vote on the leadership each year. This is not a Goodwin and co decision.
  25. Said so casually like his kid plays Aus Kick on Sunday at 8am.
