  1. Exactly. Saints far exceeding expectations Can’t say the same for Melbourne.
  2. This is for me, the biggest issue we currently face. A lot went right in 2021, but the one intangible that got us to the flag was the unwavering buy in and desire to win. That has gone missing since 2021, and it’s frankly a slap in the face to the large majority of our supporters who weren’t there to experience the premiership. If our players are not driven to win a flag in front of their supporters who have eaten a lot of [censored] from this club for many decades, then what exactly are they motivated by?
  3. Will be pretty special to beat one of Pies or Geelong at home when we can’t even beat Freo at home who were a man down in the ruck for a half a game. Also the loading excuse is wearing thin. If everyone does it, why are we the only good team who can’t hack it?
  4. Correct. It was just stock standard poor umpiring. Nothing to see here.
  5. No, but we have to stop using the umpiring as an excuse. Every side cops [censored] umpiring. That’s life. A good side doesn’t make excuses.
  6. If losing to [censored] Freo at home isn’t worthy of a meltdown, what is?
  7. Chandler was better than Spargo today. No idea why they subbed him off and not Spargo, who can’t kick further than 30m. McVee was ok. He isn’t the issue. It’s the midfield and half forward line that is absolutely embarrassing us.
  8. I would like an apology from the poster on here who said I was being dramatic when I said post game last week that our season was tittering on the brink. Oliver is our most important player by a fair margin. Even with him in the side we can barely win the ground ball or get a meaningful clearance anymore. I don’t think we will win a game now until he’s back in the side, unless something very drastic changes. Blues are under the pump, Pies will have an easy kill and Geelong in Geelong will be a one sided affair. Losing him and Petty could not have come at a worse time, but a good team learns to overcome. We are obviously not a good team right now.
  9. Why didn’t we put Kosi into the middle in the last? We were getting mauled in there time and time again. The game was all but lost so try something!
  10. They’ll say we lost because Oliver didn’t play, after they said we are not a one man team.
  11. I’m not sure I can bear to watch us get slaughtered in front of 70,000 Pies fans.
  12. It’s one thing losing a game when you have a rubbish list. It’s another to keep losing games with a list capable of so so much more.
  13. He needs another tall defender so he can play the floating third man up. We [censored] our defense when we took Petty out of there.
  14. There are no words to describe how incredibly disappointed and down right [censored] off I am. Everyone from the coaches to the players (bar a small few) should be ashamed of this gutless performance.
  15. It’s the coaches job to get these players fired up. We are watching top 4 slip away and nobody cares. Get angry FFS!!!!
  16. If we don’t try something different this quarter I’m going to lose my goddamn mind. This is not working and we are playing soft football.
  17. Please tell me how we can win a flag. Lol.
  18. He could have kicked them straight? 😂
  19. Meantime JJ can’t buy a game.
  20. That involves winning the clearances. So no.
  21. Soft insufferable display. This game plan is complete trash. I can count on one hand the players out there today who give a stuff about winning.
  22. Nice hit from Jackson on Gawn. Great support for Gawn. What a soft team.
  23. Embarrassing performance
  24. Letting Jackson dominate. Bloody brilliant Melbourne. Pathetic.
