Bumping is not illegal in AFL. Yet. Bumping the head is. He’s within his rights to try and bump Moore side on in an effort to win the ball. We see this happen dozens of times a game. What we don’t see is a player dropping like a sack of [censored] for no apparent reason.
-
Nor do they have any interest in the integrity of their contracts being brought into question. Nor the integrity of their medical team who signed off on our management of his injury. Trac might think his brand matters, but the AFL does not suffer fools who try to damage their brand.
-
At this point I swear he’s an undercover agent for the MRO.
-
Adrian better not be handling Trac’s affairs too, or we are screwed.
-
I agree, but it should go both ways. The heads of whoever is leading this idiotic nonsense from Trac should roll too. This is not how you manage your business as a professional who is 2 years into a 7 year multi million dollar deal, that nobody held a gun to your head to sign. Whatever his grievances are, they have now become a side show in this circus he’s created. If he wants the club to get busy resolving problems, he’s making it much more difficult by occupying their time dealing with his public meltdown instead.

A slippery slope for the AFLPA who would have multiple unhappy players all wanting to find excuses to leave. Any club is going to have their issues. Also can’t see how going more nuclear than he has already is going to serve his all important brand. If it’s goes down like that, I’m sure the club will burn his back the other way, saying he’s being uncooperative in their efforts to trade him as he’s not open to being traded to any club.
-
This is why he’s pivoted away from football. The devil works hard, but his management works harder. People are severely underestimating how much money Trac is making outside of football for everyone in his inner circle. Some of his current brand deals would be worth in the hundreds of thousands. He’s not working with some chicken shop down the road. He’s working with big brands. Global brands.
-
He’s not wrong. Nick Daicos having done 0 social media work has a quarter of a million followers. Trac has just shy of half a million across two platforms that he’s got someone else managing for him full time. The reality is that if he went to a club like the Pies, he would get to that magic 1,000,000 mark and will be making as much from his socials and sponsorships as he would from football. This is end game. However this is not the NBA. You don’t get to walk out on a 5 year contract just because you want to.

Not sure where the Brisbane thing came from. I reckon some journalist was like Noosa? Noosa is in QLD. Brisbane are in QLD. I do math good.
-
-
Hahahaha he’s going to go play in front of negative 5 fans on the Gold Coast? 😂 Brisbane wouldn’t have space in the cap for him, he’s on over a million a year. That’s not pocket change.

Actually a well written article for once.

An external review sure, the sacking of multiple high level positions, not so much. We need to start with those closest to the action, as ultimately what happens on the field is the most important. While I’m no fan of this board, they ultimately should have minimal influence on the FD beyond rubber stamping appointments and sackings. They are an issue for another day.

Financially. Image wise it doesn’t matter, our image is in the bin anyway. If only we didn’t waste money on pointless litigation hey? 🙄 No idea about the home base, but I imagine the ongoing deals are between the club and local government and have no impact if the people at the club change. But I could well be wrong on that.

Doubt we can afford it

Going to have to remove myself from the Trac drama for the MRO drama

A fine approach, except Trac has burnt his goodwill with the club to the absolute ground. A fractured playing group will get us nowhere next season.
-
100%, but unfortunately that’s not what Trac wants. This all starts and ends with him. If he came back to the club tomorrow and apologized for the way he’s gone about things, we will all move on. Same can’t be said the other way.
-
North would be one club where we could get a win win trade. They need mature experience and someone to set standards, and they have a picks and players we would be interested in, anyone from LDU down to Larky. What a shame that Trac would not be caught dead at Arden st.
-
Unfortunately I think that the people around him don't have his best interests at heart, but rather their own. Which is really sad.
-
If anyone told him that, they're insane. Even if we sign the dotted line tomorrow on Caulfield, or anywhere else for that matter, it's going to take years to finish building it. Did he think we are making it out of Lego?
-
We didn’t have one 3 years ago when he signed a massive deal either. We may not have a home base, but the facilities at both AAMI and Casey are of a very high standard. It’s not like we are at Junction Oval with the rats. Carlton have a home base but they also play a lot of games at Marvel. Hawks well home games to Tassie. Essendon has been irrelevant since Y2K and the Pies have an ongoing racism issue following them. No club is perfect.
