So Roos met with the leadership group last week apparently. No leaks at all. Well done Melbourne. That is a first.
-
I know it is just a coach and it doesn't mean over night success. But we have been down and out. Jurrah, energy watch,tanking,schwabb,Bailey,186,Scully,Stynes(RIP),2012-13 on field. Man it feels good to support this team today.
-
Yep. Watts is a scapegoat for this list. He has talent but seems to be missing a piece in the puzzle. WIth Roos no one will question the coach. Malthouse at Carlton is the perfect example. Ratten had the blues in the same position last year and got the ass. Now the playing list is being looked over and talk of a re build is happening. How many times have we questioned Bailey/Neeld and Co? Roos gives us time, respect and a place in the toughest sporting market in the country. Our players would love the feeling that they are being thought of first. It's about winning games from here on out. Thank you PJ. We as members don't want blazers, heritage or whiteboard wednesday's. WE WANT WINS!
-
Nathan Jones would still play just as well if I was coaching him. That is his character. Watts wants to hide behind not being developed right and looked after. There might be something to it but 2014 is the time for no more hiding.
-
One thing next year will mean all bad results are purely on the players. Roos has the runs on the board. He could easily explain at a press conference that the playing group are spuds and we will all nod and agree as well as the media. Are you sure you want that Mr Watts? The days of being unsure if our coach is any good are over.
-
That's what I said a heart beat. It's more then we have had in a long time. No we are not top 4 but Roos gives us legitimacy.
-
You have just summarised what every demons supporter will be feeling right now. Ladies and gentlemen we have a heart beat.

MFC: Paul Roos B!TCHES.

Too many things are falling into place for my thinking. It looks like Roos was signed a while ago. The "At the moment" comments from Roos to begin with but then things went quiet because of a club being drug cheats but then add no Brisbane, Eade staying at the pies and now Roos comments tonight it equals some happy days in my mind.
-
I felt we would smash Port in Round 1. Read my "Relax we've got this" thread. My feelings have failed me plenty of times. I'm just connecting some dots. But I could be a bit delusional because I want Roos.
-
Well done BB. The plot has been made thicker from your four words. I thought it was a throw away line by GW but you may be onto something.
-
I just can't help but feel Roos is ours. No source or whispers have come my way but the silence from the rumour mills is golden. The best Barret could come up with is Leigh Tudor from the swans. That's not gonna happen. Adam Simpson? No. Roos has ruled out Brisbane and Rocket and the rest will interview for that job soon.

I get my vikings gear from overseas. I found it impossible to find a store based in oz. There are plenty of dodgy websites from Asia that sell counterfit gear. It's cheap and whilst it isn't legit a guernsey is about $20 compared to $110. The quality obviously isn't as good as the real deal but I get the real stuff and some dodgy when my wife starts counting how many Adrian Petersons I have.

The Knee issue is a tough one. I would think that if a player is in the play then being tackled at the knees is fine. I have an issue with this which happened last week. http://www.vikings.com/media-vault/videos/Kevin_Williams_Injured_After_Low_Blow/f78469ce-fbc0-4388-9a27-036a6bf31f9b It's a cheap shot and Williams is not in the play. Imagine the uproar if it were Brady,Rogers or another superstar. Jared Allen has been on about this for nearly a year after Texan Brian Cushing had his knee blown out in a game.

Ok I have spent as much time researching as it takes for the opposition to get a center clearance against us but here goes.... NFC Green Bay (Again ) Seattle Dallas New Orleans Atlanta(WIldcard) San Fran (Wildcard) AFC Miami (Big call) Cincinnati Indianapolis Denver New England (wildcard) Houston (wildcard) Might be a bit off with Miami but I think it's more because I think Pats will slide a little. Green Bay are a easy pick and I think my Vikings aren't going to get as good a record as last year due to a tougher schedule. Bengals have to be ready to step up with Steelers and Ravens stepping down. Are the Jets close? Ha!

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
cowboy_from_hell replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Afl.com is spreading a rumour from the bloke making coffee for the 4 who are charged.rumour is at 3 charges and punishments brought forward and they then have two hours to decide. If not the deal is off and the courts await. Yep this is from the coffee man. -
Thoughts on possible coaching succession plan
cowboy_from_hell replied to S.R.J's topic in Melbourne Demons
A succession plan could work if we had something that resembled a quality football team. We cannot guarantee that our new coach won't be in the firing line by round 10 2014. -
"Melbourne Football Club" I hope you enjoy other sports.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
cowboy_from_hell replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wow! That poor mother. If my boy was a Bombers player I would be throwing punches at the bastards who injected the players. But as long as that selfish bastard in Hird gets off it's all good according to the bombers. I hope the AFL hear this and continue to go hard. Go to Hell Essendon. -
Roos will coach somewhere that's for sure. He had said "At the moment" a billion times now. The only problem I have with a succession plan is we cannot guarantee that a coach will last two or three years before getting the chop. So is it is a succession plan or is it having a bloke in place just in case we get smashed every week and fire our coach after one and a half seasons?

Dallas have no chance because the NFL have come to the conclusion that Dallas not making the playoffs and the Jets finding new ways to implode every year is far more entertaining then bot teams winning. It's half the fun of the NFL.
