Anyone for cricket?
I think this series has serious upset written all over it. They'll have to fight hard to win this.

Anyone for cricket?
Definitely. ODI's are obsolete now. We should be sticking to tests and T20I's, which they rely on to bring in those who don't usually support cricket. I'm not a big fan of it myself but it's something different.

Bit of a fizzer this series. Watched a bit of the first two ODI's and I can say it wasn't very exciting at all.

He is great! Saw the Mazerunner the other night and I definitely do not recommend it. Cool concept and based on a book which I haven't read (think it's aimed at teens but gets good reviews) but the script was atrocious, the acting nothing special and although the first half was watchable it spiralled into rubbish the last hour.

I saw the trailer for The Equaliser - looked like a storyline that has been done to death but Denzel isn't in a lot of bad films, so I think I'll check it out.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
A deal like that would really be fantastic, I agree. Petracca is the kind of player we have missed over the last few years (excluding Viney who was always coming to MFC) - formidable body, tough in and under and very competitive so I'd like to see us draft at least one of these guys this decade.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
I haven't been following Petracca very closely until today, when I read a few articles and watched a bit of footage. Not a lot of research admittedly but I already get the feeling we need Petracca like we needed Ollie Wines a couple of years ago. I bloody hope we get it right this time and I bloody hope the Saints don't try and take him at one, which I think is now a very real possibility.

Having difficulties with the editor at the moment but the shoot went very well! Recently saw the sequel to the Raid (The Raid 2: Berandal) and it's very good. There's very little substance to the story of each movie but I haven't seen martial arts action sequences as brutal and physically impressive as these - both films are highly recommended though not for the squeamish or those who don't like foreign films with english subtitles (so much better than listening to stupid dubbed voices). And I'm directing another short in three weeks! Hopefully the first will be finished soon and I can share it with the DL community.

Jeff 'Wiz' Farmer
Farmer was the most exciting player we've had in recent memory. Here's a toughie - who was more exciting, Farmer or Jakovich?

The 2014 AFL National Draft
I'm sure more than a couple of recruiters saw the man child Membrey as the second coming of Jack Darling and got overly excited. The Coniglio situation for me is very similar to that of Dom Tyson. Hasn't played much but is highly rated and shows flashes of being a really good young player.

Jay Kennedy-Harris
Howe arguably generated more when he came into the side though there is more reason to get excited about JKH, he's got more than just a big leap. Note: Howe is developing his game well at the moment but when he came in he didn't have much else aside from his jump.

Great game from him this afternoon. Looking to be a real drafting masterstroke. Can we get the title of the thread changed though? It's a bit misleading.

Worst sequel in recent memory.

Jay Kennedy-Harris
Don't believe it. I'd be happy if it happened for I think Jay will be a good player for us, however it makes no sense. Just incoherent trolling again.

The 2014 AFL National Draft
People tend to judge him on recent form. He's been underwhelming under Neeld and was outshone by Garland particularly last season. He is a great player, no doubt about it. So far this season, despite the flak he has copped, he's averaged 10 marks a game which is huge. Frawley for me is still in the top 5 key defenders in the competition but just needs to recapture form, which I think he's on track to do this season. Once he performs, people will singing his praises like there was never any doubt. However, I'm not confident he'll hang around.

The 2014 AFL National Draft
I'm picking young Billy Carter from the Northern Knights to push from nowhere to top 3 contention. Plays in the middle, runs all day (beep test of 16.4), is a great height at 189cm and is already built like a brick shithouse, having put on 12kg over summer. He's been tearing it up at preseason training and will be making a huge impact this season.

He coached me for a bit a few years ago when he was playing for Carlton. Good bloke! Except for when he was giving you throw downs in the nets...
