  1. Not really what I wanted to hear from him. Mindset hasn't changed. Why say he 'doesn't want to miss out on the good times ahead', when he could say 'I want to help drive the footy club to its next flag?' The hunger isn't there.
  2. If he does, it needs to be a galvanising moment for him and he'd need to come out firing in 2018. Otherwise he'd certainly be gone at the end of next season you would think.
  3. I'm interested in how exactly you calculated that figure? This hand wringing over Hogan is terrible, get a grip guys.
  4. Are you a supporter of the MFC or of Jack Watts? It's a team game and the betterment of the club is bigger than any one player.
  5. I want to stop reading Demonland until after trade week but I just can't seem to avert my eyes.
  6. There's nothing in the Hogan rumours.
  7. Fair enough, I'd be disappointed if we ended up with a bog average player in return too. But if we receive a quality player in return, will we still go backwards? I don't think they'll offload Watts just for the sake of it. He has value.
  8. Yeah, I'm sure that'll be the reason we lose members (if it happens). How about missing out on the finals by .5% because of our own ineptitude? But we won't lose membership, we'll maintain the same numbers or go up IMO.
  9. I don't get it - he's the most lambasted player by the fans (to the point that I'm surprised he didn't leave) but they'll kick up a fuss if he is traded? I don't think so.
  10. Fair enough, this is a discussion board after all I feel that if Jack's season hadn't been interrupted by injury (obviously not his fault) he would have rated ahead of Hartlett. But Hartlett did a lot of great intercept work this season was quite consistent. Hall beats both of them IMO - massive metres gained and even though he can be inconsistent, wins a heap of the ball and drives it long. He has that X factor with his ability to run and break lines too, so I rate him quite highly.
  11. What Goodwin is doing and what Neeld did are completely different things.
  12. Watts. The other two had much better seasons than he did.
  13. Spot on. As well as that he's obviously a great player but we should be looking at other sorts anyway, to fill the areas we're lacking in. Another inside midfielder isn't really our priority right now.
  14. Aaron Hall is definitely not the worst player out of that trio, and he'd be a good get for us. Exactly what we need - quick, finds plenty of the ball and is damaging on the scoreboard. Last year he averaged 530m gained per game and 28 disposals - that's huge. This year he averaged 495m per game. I'd love to see Hall at the Dees.
  15. That fact that he's a former number 1 pick will have absolutely no bearing on the deal.
  16. At times, has the presence of a key forward despite not being big enough to be considered one. Love his courage in the air and has that little bit of X factor. Here's hoping the upward trajectory continues.
  17. Be a great result, but pretty optimistic IMO. If we're looking at an FA target I'd prefer Jackson Trengove though.
  18. I'll be happy for him if he goes and kicks bags next year, because he'll never do it here. Too much emotional baggage has built up over the years for Jack IMO. A new start could be just what he needs.
  19. None of them are held accountable really, it's why they can continue to spout shite and get away with it. People forget quickly.
  20. Richmond weren't very good at around the same time and it doesn't help that guys like Howe, Frawley, Dunn and even Rivers went. But yes, our drafting throughout the corresponding years was atrocious.
  21. Whoever edits those reels has an immense amount of power.
  22. Expected IMO. They were never going to take votes away from the midfielders and hand them to a small defender. It goes against everything the Brownlow now is.
