Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Aside from what Lever brings directly, bringing him in may also pay big in allowing TMac to morph into a tall forward/2nd ruck role while also being able to go back when required.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Might go easier if the Crows have just won the flag!

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
The Adelaide back line is great at holding the ball up while their mids get reorganised (defence to offence) and then feeding it in...

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Watched him closely last night and like his composure, aggression and smarts directing play in and out of back line. He'd be a significant addition. We pay what the market requires.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I want this to be true... so shall believe it for a while. How exciting is this!!!

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Aren't the reigning premiers generally favourited the next year anyway?

Josh Kelly
My brother (who's a Dons tragic) plays footy with a Don's bigwig, reckons it's been a lock for months...
-
Josh Kelly
Heard a strong rumour that Kelly is deal done to Dons. For what that's worth.

Josh Kelly
Herald had Kelly to Dons today.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
I take Jobe at his word when he says "he feels like his wife cheated on him". And have sympathy for his plight, loss and disenchantment. As someone who's (ex)wife did cheat on, sometime you can "know" but refuse to take it on. Time to move on. Good luck outside footy Jobe!

Zak Jones
I reckon the Swans are developing a reputation of overlooking their own talent's development and compensation needs (Tom Mitchell) in preference to buying in big name talent (Buddy, Tippert), which might erode the loyalty of players like Zac, especially if the Swans are actually looking to acquire someone like Dusty...

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Should be half of what Geelong gave the Crows for Dangerfield..?
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I prefer Jack Watts in that role (not in ruck), as watts far more damaging and creative.

Dynamic Pricing
How corporate of the clubs to Jack up pricing while never contemplating dropping pricing. AFL should offer incentives to clubs to fill the grounds at every game, so innovation goes in the direction of increasing access and interest, instead of extracting more from the already obsessed. But given how little regard supporters got in the recent divvy up of the huge TV rights windfall, I'm not holding my breath for the AFL to do anything but continue to mine and exploit fans for every cent they can gouge. Congrats to PJ and club for holding back.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
With Maxy back giving silver service to our mids, their dominance of the Bluey may resume...?
-
Time to show Oscar some respect!
Given Tom rucked in the second halve Vs Pies and Oscar stepped up big time, it was a great game from a good developing key position back man. He's back on track.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
That is an awesome handful of players, it's not a "spine"... with Lever our spine in 2018+ might look like. FB: Lever CHB: TMac C: Petracca/Oliver CHF: Hogan FF: Weid/Gawn/?? Not a bad old style spine.

Time to show Oscar some respect!
Omac is the new Jack Watts. Love him, but...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Lets just add Fyfe and Dusty and we can forget about the back 6..?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Goodwin's targeting of Hibberd and the subsequent value he's provided to the team and enhancing our ability to play the way Goody wants us to play is an insight into how deeply Goodwin has wrapped his head around this team, our evolving game style and what we need to improve it. Its very encouraging on multiple levels.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Pass on Lever, and let Jason Taylor and the team work their draft magic with a full set of picks to use... In addition to young guns via the draft, we are entering the window where we can attract quality free agents who'll slot straight in. Trading picks or our gun players for other gun players should be our last resort.

In Jason Taylor we trust!
