  1. I heard Jack Viney supported the filth
  2. So if Gawn and Pedo go down in 2018, it's Watts and King? Not sure we've ever been good at picking up a mature ruck that's willing to play VFL only until AFL injuries. I'd keep Spencil. As you say, it's also matter of Spencil being prepared to play as insurance in VFL. Every player wants to maximise their chances.
  3. Agree. Every club benefitted from the bye last year. The particular injury timing the Dogs had in one year is no reason to drop the bye forever. I like it because it gives every club the opportunity to freshen up before a tilt. I would've thought the AFL would want to see the best footy played during all finals games. Otherwise get rid of the final 8 and return to final 4. Give the bye a couple more years before passing judgement. I'd like to see other footy activities during the finals bye week. Brownlow, AFLW grand final, etc
  4. If Gawn and Pedo get injured, who does our rucking? Because it's not like we've ever had our 2 main rucks injured for long periods of time. Oh, wait.... Need 4 rucks on list. One young and developing (King, though he's very much unsighted even at VFL), one main ruck (Gawn), one forward/ruck (Pedo) and one back up (???? was Spencil).
  5. Mitch Clarke would chuckle at that euphemism Colin!
  6. That joint sound both hot and slippery at the same time
  7. The Age reporting Cats want Ablett, D Smith and Hopper. Says Blues into Smith and Hopper as well.
  8. Which one of the newbies are banned poster dressed up in another alias? I think entry into the Demonland sanctum can only happen after one of BBO's jolly good floggings.
  9. That I now enjoy going to watch a game
  10. Overs. So Crows get Watts, our first rounder (about pick 9) and Carlton's 2nd rounder (about pick 21) for Lever? Isn't that better than the Dangerfield trade, which was 9, 28 and Gore? Yes, I know Danger was a RFA, but remaining OOC near trade time is also a major risk for any club.
  11. Did the caller dress it up in a riddle?
  12. Not sure Frost will give us any Leverage Sorry.....
  13. Loved watching him towel up Boyd from WB getting him subbed off. Wasn't that the time Hogan responded to the taunts by pointing to the bench, "where's your next big thing?"
  14. What they want and what they get are two different things. This is not the Neeld era anymore. The adults are in charge now
  15. Weighted too much our way Norm. Think the Lever/Watts/Gibbs three club deal has legs. Maybe our 2017 second rounder to Adelaide as well. We lose Watts and 2nd round pick and gain Lever. Having said that, I like Watts and would be sad to see him traded
  16. Dusty is a great footballer with the maturity and intellegence of a 3 week old puppy. He'll go where the money and easy life is. Back to Lever, I think the Lever/TMac/OMac combo will improve both OMac and TMac as footballers
  17. Talking Footy saying Norf have upped their Dusty offer to $1.5 mill pa over 7 years. As much as I want Lever and a hard running A grade mid, I'm glad we're not offering that kind of dosh to Dusty (touch wood)
  18. Two things I'd like to see improve in the modern game: set shot conversions and umpiring consistency.
  19. Given he's a Romsey lad, I expect our very own Demonland royalty BBO will have a big part to play in Lever's recruitment into the Demons bosum. Lodging, swipe card to the wine cellar and full use of what must be described loosely as the 'gym'
  20. Great experience HBG. Good on you and the missus. Stories like this make me look forward watching the club succeed over the next few years.
