  1. I popped in for a little while. Seemed to be well organised, and a very pleasant atmosphere. No sign of Max, Angus, Trac, Viney and a few other A graders when I was there. Perhaps they turned up later? I had short chats with Kozzy & Langers ... both really nice. I asked Kozzy if he was signing on for next year. He said yes. I asked if I could record that ... he said no!! I asked Langers about his rib injury from last year. Supposedly 'bruised'. He said that he had broken ribs ... x 4 !! Which is obviously why his form dropped off so much.
  2. I hate the filth .... tripplechins .... joffa .... buckley ... their feral supporters ... et al.
  3. The comments about Isaac Smith regretting going to Jee-long instead of Melbourne didn't age well. 2022 ... premiership medal ... Norm Smith medal.
  4. I had dinner at the Peppercorn Hotel in Yea some years ago. It was excellent ...
  5. If Jupiter aligned with Mars (cf. Uranus), then peace would guide the planets, and love will steer the stars.
  6. Like others, I turned up at Goschs Paddock this morning. I had arranged to meet my son + his partner who are out from the UK for a few weeks. Very disappointing .... Only saving grace was having breakfast with my son + partner in Swan Street when we realised that training wasn't happening. I felt particularly sorry for the couple + little boy who were there. The boy must have been very disappointed.
  7. Did you squeeze it?
  8. Daisy is the football equivalent of the Get Smart character Simon the Likeable. (The tennis equivalent was/is Ash Barty.) Who doesn't love Daisy? She's charming, intelligent ... [insert other adjectives here]. However I'm glad she has decided to retire. She was pretty much cooked as a player. Shame she's going to the puddy tatts though.
  9. The sky is falling !!!
  10. I have a cunning plan* Kick the ball to the wing. Winger to hold the ball for an eternity, then kick to forward (left) pocket where everyone is congregated, ignoring any leads from teammates elsewhere. *Well, Baldrick should take some of the credit.
  11. Yeah ... size isn't everything ...
  12. What time is training at GS tomorrow? Might swing past while on a bike ride*. *subject to the climatic conditions
  13. My son likened it to the Jack Fitzpatrick tunnel ball incident.
  14. I'm concerned that this thread seems to have dropped off everyone's radar. 🤔
  15. Metaphorically speaking ... He did a great job. Saw him at The Sporting Globe a few times during interstate matches.
  16. Australia 1 - Denmark 0 .... Socceroos through to round of 16 !!! Wow !!!
  17. Indeed ... the jury's will be well and truly out for a few years. At first blush he seems similar to Weiderman and Watts, but hopefully he has more mongrel in him.
  18. Are you serious? The Hogan thread got to 400 pages, so this one has a fair while to go.
  19. How good was big Harry?
  20. I used to subscribe to Viz. I used to find it really funny, but it is kinda the same joke/s. Perhaps change to one of the other Viz characters? Sid the Sexist, Mr Logic or Finbarr Saunders?
  21. Not sure if anyone has already made this comment, but Spargs needs to get more of the ball ....
