I admire the way the Pies go about it. They just will not lay down. As a supporter you couldn't ask for anything more.

Pendlebury and Sidebottom alone are head and shoulders above anyone we have. Now they've added another Daicos. And they didn't have too much trouble picking their way through our famous defence last year either.

Wouldn't work. Very few of our players have the disposal skills needed.

Abit of magic about their season. Similar feel to ours last year.

Dunno what their numbers were this week but last game Selwood and Danger only played about 8-9minutes per qtr. When they were on they'd go flat out.

Last years was fantastic. I still listen to it.

Well ... They didn't slaughter Collingwood 2 weeks ago.

I was behind the goals and had to look past the goal umpire to see Matthews clock Smith with a similar swinging arm he got Bruns with but from behind. Was off the ball but couldn't believe the umpire didn't see anything. Didn't get reported. And Smith was also a favourite of mine. Saved up my pennys over the off season to run the #35 on the prized duffle coat. Then he runs out rd1 wearing #1. Gotta be kidding me, coulda saved myself about $6 🙄😅

I only know one Lions supporter who's a pretty quiet fella. So I'll go with them.

And our record for actually redeeming ourselves and earning back respect isn't very good. But as Bates Mates stated " Time will tell I guess."

Holy smoke man. The embarrassment list is far longer than that. Seemed like every second week we were gonna redeem ourselves and earn back respect for awhile there.

Just watched a doco on STAN about Australia 2 and winning the Americas Cup. Of course it featured John Bertrand who spoke about how driven he was to win the cup from the yanks for the 1st time. So driven he went to America and studied nautical engineering so as to learn from those he was going to compete against. Anyway, near the end he was asked why he decided not to defend the cup as captain at Fremantle. His answer ... "Content men don't win world titles."

And I'm not sure why TBH.

Said the same thing to a bloke at work today. But that doesn't stop me thinking as a club we got sucked into drinking the bathwater again. Cause that's in our culture. As is losing games when we're favourites. And from Premiers to out in straight sets is a Melbourne thing to do. I'm just thankful now that Fritta kicked those 2 in a minute during the 3rd in the granny last year. We were so close to a GF choke it wasn't funny.

Dunno man. That was a pretty Melbourne like result. Spent the year swanning around as reigning premiers and then bundled out straight sets after squandering leads .... Again. Not gonna shake the mentally weak tag continually doing stuff like that.

Well .... We all wondered whether 2018 was an aberration. Now we're gonna find out if 2021 was one. As for Goodwin going to work on our forward entries during the off season don't hold your breath. We've been punching out poor conversion rates for years and he's done nothing. And yes ... Even last year.
