  1. Are some of the DL silks amongst the track watchers?
  2. Prefer that to navigating Aguirre (Klaus Kinski) down the Amazon River!
  3. Congrats KT on taking the big step from Magenta and Black to premiership Red 'n Blue. Profile adjusted accordingly!
  4. Given the dearth of debutante’s since ‘21 expecting for the floodgates to open? Probably not but it would be good to blood some new blokes. Deakyn Smith and Andy Moniz-Wakefield are part of the posse pushing participation.
  5. New guy or gal appears to have their training wheels on (big shoes after Gibbo to fill in) Most shots were rather static rather than action freeze motion. Exceptions were two fabulous portraits of Harry and Will no doubt Megan and Kate will be impressed.
  6. On a very small sample so far but the way Deakyn moves is reminiscent TMM of Stan Alves in his pomp. Particularly his ability to weave in traffic with baulks and dummies. In a Casey game last season he attempted this outrageous blind turn on a sixpence absolute twinkle toes. Something that is very rarely seen today in football. If he can master just half the evasive skills of the #15 maestro he will be on his way.
  7. We suspect Picket may have been here recently!
  8. Are the brain's trust also applying the collective 'gruppendenken' to the behinds kick out?
  9. Andy, Andy Moniz-Wakefield assume he's back with the main group? How is he traveling?
  10. Picket can we be assured no 'daleks' were harmed in the making of this report?
  11. Home and Away take the 'G Finals Premiership @ MCG
  12. If he makes the list will add him to the posse of up and coming young gunslingers [sic] Judd McVee
  13. Picket as Black Night changes to day and Smoke on the Water clears as you travel to Casey Fields, Highway Star pumping on the 8 track, beware of Space Truckin' as any Speed King may get you a ticket. ps. Can we confirm if Max will be hummin' or hamstrung?
  14. Cheers Yokozuna, appreciate you sharing your insights with the broader Demonland community. It appears any suspicion of lethargy after last season's long and ultimately frustrating campaign and being blown away along with the off season's cobwebs. May Kye Turner's glow of opportunity coalesce into something significant. His efforts on the track since the post Christmas New Year resumption, have attracted the eye of some astute track watchers on these boards. Go Demons!
  15. Pleased Judd McVee and Taj Woewodin are getting some favourable reviews from our knowledgeable trackwatchers. In the VFL big dance last season they were the most noticeable of the uncapped younger guys out on the park. For sandgropers they stood up well in the inclement, heavy conditions not unlike today by the sound of it. Like Kade Chandler’s intent too, his determination will hopefully be rewarded this season. Go Demons!
  16. The question has been raised D-D. Is Casey Fields the new centre for mystical experiences in Aussie rules football? Some Demon supporters believe the miracle of the 2021 premiership had its genesis there deep in the Covid epidemic. As a bolthole for conditioning and team training. Away from the madding crowd. Repeated recent sightings of vipers, men of dissolute appearance with binoculars and now it appears a new religious sect is emerging on the fringe of outer suburbia seem to confirm Casey Fields as a veritable "Gardens of Eden". Perhaps the AFL tempted by the 🍎 should endorse the name change, well at least the property developers wish it so. 17. Very early going but enjoyed Mr Mongrel Punt's insights for 2023, backs are back, strong midfield cohort strengthened with classy experienced imports. Forwards; a tantalising mix of older heads Tom and Ben (Masters Po and Kan), Bayley already abroad (Caine), JVR and young Jefferson (tyro KCC's) their AFL journey about to begin. Out on the paddock this morning the chat might go something like this... "Close your eyes (post kicking action of course!) What do you hear? … Are you able to hear the grasshopper that is right at your feet."
  18. Obviously too much Christmas pudding. Skin fold tests to go ballistic next week.
