  1. Yeah -- all the best Liam. This does put life into perspective - there are some things more important than footy, but I am sure all here would just love to see you back on the field, fit and well, ASAP.
  2. Forecast is for low 20s by game time, not the high 20s that I think we suffered last times
  3. I read somewhere that we had only 27 players from whom to choose this week, which is pretty depressing in itself. No need to raise questions of tanking anywhere.
  4. Sadly I am coming around to those thoughts too. But despite that, I doubt if all will be cut. For what it is worth, I suspect Dunn may be the survivor unless someone, maybe GC or GW$ want a mature bodied (and mature upper lipped, though not necessarily mature minded) player. I haven't given up on Cook, who is really in effect due to injury almost a first year big man.And there is no way that I would compare Watts, who was I think to the majority of east coast fans the clear number 1 pick, and number 2 were you in the west, with Cook who whilst dominating the U18s wasn't ever discussed as a top pick.
  5. How do you post a picture into a forum? Cant do the paste but here is the link - very funny commentary too. http://www.theage.co...0719-22csf.html 1deb_3_wings-20120719221442675509-300x0.jpg
  6. "...only if a reasonable person...". so that clearly doesn't mean lawyers, and / or politicians then.
  7. Isnt it a night match?? :-)
  8. ?????Yes he has and it still is in Darwin.
  9. Very few people know how and where to put an apos'trophe and I find it s'imply exas'perating. It would be far better were they not to us'e it at all.S'ave the apos'trophe!!
  10. As a free agent, he and kids wouldn't be mutually exclusive, and if he is as outspoken and inspirational to his teammates as suggested then he could be a very good man to put in the mix - as pointed out, as a teacher as well or even more so than as a player.
  11. But........our Right Honourable PM was a lawyer!!
  12. I know lawyers who always say it is NOT about the truth, but all about the argument, and further seem proud of their profession for that fact. Anyway, these guys are being tried in Victoria, The State of Violence, so will not get any meaningful punishment or deterrence.
  13. I guess some guy (or gal) in a wig (if they still wear them there) in Alice Springs could shortly have an even bigger say in Liam's future than our medical staff!
  14. Much as I would like to find something more tho hang the sneaky sniper on, I think you are nit-picking a bit there :-)As regards Ziebel though, I reckon at very very least it was very reckless, and with his history he should have been far more cautious. I don't quite see how people can, from this footage, judge where his eyes were facing - maybe their evolution is better than mine. I di have a beef with the MRP / tribunal / whatever regarding Trengove cf. Corey. The main difference to me is whether Corey's victim kicks 6 goals next week! In fact Corey's looked far more considered.
  15. Good call.
  16. The same sort of contrived cr@p that they served up with the "pressure point" defence for his second eye gouging charge. The high and mighty at Princes Park just think they have some divine right to do as they please.
  17. Except that his case is in NT, not "Victoria, the State of Leniency"!
  18. I was just thinking, he is a dual Brownlow Medalist yet of all the current players he has been involved with several of the nastiest sneaky incidents I can recall; more than any other player in recent times. Sure BBBH used to blow a fuse from time to time, but wasn't generally up to anything sneaky like this. His legacy will be forever tainted by these nasty brain fades.
  19. "I am really really sorry.............(that I was caught)"As far as Brownlow betting is concerned, he has cooked his goose with his fowl act. I guess he will be too chicken to try it again.
  20. Yeah -- WTF. Surely that means in relation to guilty vs not, and not related to the penalty.
  21. That was running through my mind to - what was it? 27 seconds or was that the appeal?
  22. ....and why rush him back in this dead season. Surely an opportunity to asses Spencil vs Fitzy - as ND should have done with Jamar / Jolly when White was totally lame in a dead season all those years ago.
  23. Sure..why not just cull the lot...coaches, players, fitness staff and start again...like, say......GWS minus all the AFL concessions and assistance. Would that make you happy, dude?
  24. Provided Clark's foot comes up OK, and I guess it will be a while before anything definite is known, then Goddard would probably offer us more options then would Cloke. He would be a huge pick up!
