  1. If another tall, who could hold a mark and do ruck work then Chris may decide that it is in his inter sets, if he wants to continue at AFL, to move on. Otherwise he may well spend a lot of time at Casey, if that tall arrives. Was that "fine and mild" or "dangerous storm warning"?? . Exactly. Never ever. Why risk a Rolls Royce (or Farrari if that is your thing) in an off road rally?
  2. They are all hypothetical until the deal is signed.
  3. Yibbida yibbida That's all folks.
  4. Some are reading a lot more than I think they should re the lack of mention of the likes of Prestia (interesting that auto text puts Prestigious). IF there is behind the scenes stuff going on, as I am 100% certain there is, why show your hand on radio?* Ox could well be part of any conspiracy of silence. It all adds to the immense joy of the trade week / month / season. * for fellow pedants, before you jump at me, I do realize that if one did show a hand on radio nobody would see.
  5. There was a bit of brewing going on straight after our last flag - Carlton United and Melbourne Bitter as I recall. Hopefully both. Both will do a lot better with the defenders having to worry about the other, and with improving midfield delivery (both qualitatively and quantitatively.)
  6. Should do ok in the spring racing season then ? :-))
  7. Carlton have shown a willingness to trade out / delist their only scoring options recently....though with Mick gone they could become a bit more rational.
  8. Sure ..... they were determined to get a fully qualified pharmacist this time instead of a fully qualified narcissist Does / can / will Casboukt ruck? We know he can mark I All this "he" can be confusing in a complex thread -- are you referring to Frost? Any like what? Running ruck forwards?
  9. Brownlow votes require more than being a good kick otherwise Strauss, Morton Watts and Maric would have lots of votes. I have said I don't know a lot about him - how is his endurance? Eveready type?
  10. "Brings the ball to ground".........predictably.
  11. Hope his return match isn't an away game then! OMG I hate those white monstrosities. But, jokes aside, he is one hell of a determined guy and he deserves (an often overused expression) some joy and success.
  12. That is very d&m. Not quite sure that I entirely agree, but, like Voltaire, I defend your right to say it, and enjoy the mental challenge of trying to decipher it all :-)) Can't say I have really followed him or would recognise him, but I hope you are not suggesting that he would be a good fit for #13 !
  13. Of course it did, though there will of course be the usual sad suspects who will say he was a dud from the start, or that the captaincy ruined him. Others of course blame Missen and / or the medical staff for failing to diagnose what is a very difficult to diagnose injury as opposed to a bit of persisting foot soreness that I imagine most if not all who run a lot suffer from time to time. (Rather like the supposed ineptitude that "allowed Hogan to play" at Alice in the pervious preseason when he had some back soreness, again a very common complaint.)
  14. Despite their recent consistency and successes, they do remain an AFL 'special project' and frankly nothing would surprise me from AFL HQ. So if Sideney look like missing finals for more than a year or two at most I am certain that they will get more 'special consideration'.
  15. What, or Watt, exactly are you referring to?
  16. No, surely not :-))
  17. When one is old enough to remember Melbourne premierships you will take whatever you can
  18. That is one hell of a highlight reel. Sign him for a decade, right now.
  19. Ah....how the passage of time changes things. Quite a contrast from the time of our last GF success though. So long ago.
  20. Interesting conspiracy theory....possibly true. This you know?
  21. Fact is that he didn't turn up, for whatever reason, for a medical that could have gained him a 500K contract. Does that look like player upon whom one could rely in a tight game, especially a GF?
  22. WOW. Facebook say "yes"!!! I must say Chris has been very underwhelming, but given the dumping of Tunnelball, he may be needed in 2016, unless a replacement has already been arranged. Interesting weeks ahead.
  23. If Harley's name was Brian would that make the difference :-)) Doesn't really WANT to play top level footy, does he? Imagine anyone in their right mind throwing away the possibility of 500K by getting [censored]. And his manager sounds like a bit of a <noun describing one who tosses>.
  24. Certainly a huge year of challenges for JKH in paticular......showed quite a bit of promise year 1 but a very ordinary year 2. Hopefully "just second year blues" but ?????I will be interested to see just how he takes on the challenge: he seems a pretty strong character so here's hoping As far as Harmes and ANB go - I will be happy for the FD to play them as they see fit. They both contributed strongly at big moments in important games in 2015, when many I suspect would not have expected them to debut.
  25. Nice to hear someone else agrees with me re Molan, who nobody could judge because of recurring impact injuries. Silly boy for going in so hard. Disagree with you wording re Cook though. IMO no player should be referred to with as offensive a ward as dud: sure didn't make the grade, may have never been up to it and may have been a poor pick (clearly) but he put himself in and was selected. I will never use that word dud. Back to topic - is this guy up to it as a KPP? Can he ruck? If so they will have to weigh him and up.
