  1. Wrong caption. Surely it is Bruce Commentating on Cyrrrrrrrilllllll kicking a goal.
  2. I actually believe that Pedersen's absence has been a bigger problem than many would have expected. He was just starting to fit in well with Hogan.
  3. Starting at the selection table this week.Frankly don't care who comes in but those who are not our future can go out. Get some runners. Fitzy can run - put him on the wing or in the guts even.
  4. So that would leave Gawnius Maximus as the sole ruckman with Pedersen as the only back up. King is far too far off at this stage. If Max misses a game then let's try <insert anyone> to ruck all day.
  5. so why still have Dawes then? doesn't mark.....but does that mean brings the ball to ground? Many see his bringing the ball to ground, ie dropping marks, as his biggest attribute. Strange that. The only ones in that list who are plurals (despite the many inappropriate uses both of apostrophes and plurals) are as far as I know, Scotts and Selwoods so delusional as well as a possible WADA casualty!! Not for me.
  6. Succession planning is mandatory regardless of where on the "premiership window ladder" a team stands. From his on screen demeanor and behavior, I would probably rate Robbo's "likes" as beer, wine, spirits, and his "dislikes" as consistency and impartiality. I must say I agree - would love to be proven wrong but time is surely running out.

Shoulder or hamstring? If OW gets a good result from his shoulder reco is he still 'injury prone'? Jack Viney may give him a 'welcome back' like he did to Ablett, and that has gone so well for GA who could now be regarded as 'injury prone'. Salem has a bad hammie from which most recover well - does that make him 'injury prone'?
  8. I seem to remember hearing that he has had some formal role at the club, possibly in opposition analysis. Whatever, he hasn't been slacking.
  9. I gasped when I saw this -- then saw the date and breathed again. SFKA -- and is it now a win win win win?? I sincerely hope that you mean what Col could / should have been and not what he turned out to be. I cringed once more. Saw him at training and thought of Col!!!!!! O M G !!
  10. I must admit to not having followed Garlett much last season when he was dumped to VFL. Would the same description have been made of him by some? Did they both suffer from similar issues of lack of motivation in a struggling poorly run club? Was the situation similar to that of Yarran this year or is it a totally different situation? Would Roos et al be able to resurrect his career as they have with Garlett (and Dunn, Jetta)?
  11. So, what is Myers' problem that prevents him getting more games in?The Connolly article says chronic leg injuries - no mention of whether these could relate to certain 'substances'. I also see that he has had but one single disposal this season in his one game - does anyone have any updates on this? Sounds a huge risk to me, even without the WADA issues.
  12. I guess someone listened to that absolutely disgraceful drivel but it should not be referred to as commentary. Barracking. Bagging. But never commentary. I must have missed it as I turned the sound off.
  13. Yes sure but when on song he was incredibly exciting and entertaining
  14. Not exactly. Cloke can't, and he can once a season, sadly against us. Same with unco Joe Dahiher. especially if one knew it two years in advance
  15. The Jack Viney made me cry thread made me cry when he hit the post when a goal was needed vs the Druggists
  16. So playing on the same ground as Melbourne must be a great environment for kicking straight .....Cloke....Daniher.....sadly.
  17. Now that is a laugh - Robbo referring to GCS as an unsafe workplace, but his beloved Ess-onDrugs is safe as houses! Were he consistent in his thinking (which he clearly isn't, ever; that requires sober thought) then Ess-onDrugs would have been cleared out completely (Zacharrakis excepted) long ago. And as far as the extra tall forward position, the one that [Pedersen] sometimes filled very well, the one that Dawes rarely does - just a thought bubble - IF Frost comes good next year, and IF Fitz stays as a tall defender (OMG one can only wonder if he had played on Danaher what may have eventuated yesterday: I know one can never ever tell) and IF OMcD makes some progress towards 2017, was the move of TMcD forward yesterday just maybe a glimpse of a possible move forward. IIRC he was recruited as a forward. Other than his kicking at goal, yesterday the move forward certainly generated more contests and shots at goal than did #6. Set shots at goal is something that can be worked on - look at Danaher and Choke's transformation, or does that only work when playing vs Demons?

As I said, lets get over it, and give Toump all our encouragement and support. Even is he doesn't read this board, I am sure that he is aware of the comparisons and the grief that some many here are suffering. But in the end Toump is our player and deserves support not derision. And if one loves retrospective grief, just remember that all clubs passed over, many times, Chris Grant and James Hird (who was a great player even though he is a disgusting human being post playing).
  19. Roos will not send him to Casey.

FCS he is at Port: Toump is with us. Get over it.
  21. If the Fitz played on him every week, he would be cooked. Lucky for him he isn't.
  22. Interesting - one can only wonder what could have been had Roos, Goodwin, McCarthy and Jetta been at the club when Wona and Jurrah were there, starring, but having "serious domestic off field issues"? Of course one will never know, but.......
  23. So, the article says no, so that's it? I would have no doubt at all that our guys are at least asking the question behind the scenes. There are always some surprises at the trade table. Can / will Dixon do even just a bit of ruck work if needed? Can he hold a mark?

I missed the Collingwood game but It was suggested somewhere that he took a big physical hit (as well as a psychological one, when Choke for about thenfirstbtime in his career kicked straight)? Also another observed that his slump has coincided with the loss of Salem....they certainly did some great stuff together in those early rounds. Some also mentioned "off field issues"........is the pure speculation or does someone really know something?? IF they do, they should share it with the club (NOT us) and help him through it privately. I know he looked as if he really hurt deeply when we had those floggings from the top teams....maybe he is struggling to get over that, which would be a huge worry if true. My thought is that he is a young tall who hit some great form early, has had a slump and needs our support whilst he regains his confidence. What he doesn't need is constant carping from "supporters".
  25. Recovery from physical injury, or ?
