  1. The designs are fantastic Jaded. Would certainly look into buying a number of those products if they were made available.
  2. I'd never seen any of that 1987 match before. The reaction when Hawthorn hits the lead at Kardinia Park is amazing...
  3. Jack Trengove's hometown is as close to Melbourne as it is to Adelaide. He just plays in the SANFL due to it being his state's competition. I don't think we'll have to worry about too much.
  4. I really think its important to build family traditions at football clubs. And especially in this case, with the Grimes family being a Melbourne supporting family, it would be fantastic. And it certainly wouldn't be just a sentimental choice. Most people who know more about these things than me believe Dylan should get picked up.
  5. It has been floating around for a while they he wanted out. Clearly no interest in trade week. Will be interesting if he gets a spot on another list.
  6. Looks like its Ball for Nathan Brown and pick 60. Saints doing the far better out of that deal IMO... Unconfirmed btw.
  7. No doubt someone would pick him up before Collingwood's first pick, which is somewhere in round 2 correct?
  8. Apologise to those at work already tomorrow... I'll be far more interested in the news websites!
  9. Rischitelli has apparently refused to go.
  10. Word is the Brisbane deal has fallen flat. Big big day tomorrow.
  11. I've heard the Cats are in on it. Pretty [censored] off if the AFL have come in mediated. What right do they have to come in and work it out for clubs?
  12. I think Brown is better than Warnock. And secondly, there has been a lot of talk about Garland making a move forward. Brown would help to allow that move to happen. In addition, there remains genuine concern over whether Garland can get fit again. His injury is severe.
  13. I agree that Ball won't fall into PSD. I think if anything he could still be convinced to remain a Saint, regardless of media reports. I still reckon Burgoyne might (wishful thinking), because I feel that he wouldn't mind coming to Melbourne. My belief is we are his second choice. Especially with Melbourne probably being able to fork out a bit more $$$ than most. Still would be willing to throw a pick into the ring and see if we can somehow get involved in a deal involving either Everitt or Brown.
  14. Just thought I'd bring this one up again to avoid duplicate threads. His name has been brought up again - this time within the Luke Ball trade. Would love to see Melbourne somehow get involved here... Have huge wraps on N. Brown.
  15. I got hounded down when I mentioned N. Brown would be up for trade earlier in the week. I really like the way he goes about it. St. Kilda would be very very happy if they could get Brown in any deal for Ball.
  16. I thought it was only the PSD that a player could negotiate terms?
  17. Would be very disappointed to lose Jamar. Will be severely depleted in the ruck stocks - I really rate Jamar's tapwork (easdily our best tap ruckman), even if his work around the ground has at times left a bit to be desired. Would expect something quite decent in return.
  18. Agree old. I just brought up the Woewodin point with a friend. Supporters blinded by their love of a player. Brown is an overrated thug - but he's loved by supporters because of his heart-on-his-sleeve attitude. He's not that good a footballer. I still don't think he'll agree to the deal, which throws a massive spanner in the works - which will be very enjoyable to watch.
  19. Could easily scuttle the entire deal. Will cause friction within the club as well as outside. Brown won't agree to the trade anyway IMO, so really I see it only as a lose-lose for the Hawks. A very odd move.
  20. Hope he doesn't. Could cause a huge rift and completely scuttle the deal.
  21. According to SEN, this trade has been completed. Lovett for St. Kilda first round pick (16?)
  22. McLean also said that Casey Fields was helping to give the club some stability, and that this was a very good thing.
  23. Unfortunately myself and some mates have a houseboat on the Murray booked for that weekend... Booked and paid for. Tough to get out of!
  24. Next year we will pretty much have the equal of any team in terms of facilities with the move into the new rectangular stadium. We will see if that makes an impact.
