This reminds me of how unimportant attendance at games is becoming. Sadly it is now running a long way down the list of revenue streams. The AFL don't treat them seriously you only have to look at how badly supporters get treated every year when finals tickets go on sale. Year after year it is very poorly run and year after year the AFL declare this will not happen again. Their crocodile tears are actually a little funny. It is now all about eyes on screens and the clubs with the most eyes get the cream.

The AFL is all about eyes on screens as long as the game rates well, if Sydney siders go or not means bugger all to them. Same as our game If it rates well they will happy if the number going is low they will use it as evidence that our games should be on their smaller venue.

I thought I knew what this thread was about but just be certain I went back to the start. The person who started the thread asked should we trade Hogan. it was not Hogan wants to go to Freo. or the FD don't want him as well as numerous other side distractions of people bagging each other. The thread is legitimate it asks a question to which most people have given their view. To say that the thread should be shut because you don't agree or that Hogan has said he loves the place and wants to be at the Dees when we lift the cup is IMO ridiculous . There are numerous threads on Demonland, some of which I have no interest in or I think are silly. I don't go onto them demanding they be shut. There is a simple solution if you don't like a thread don't go on.

A question. If someone buys a ticket but falls over in the street on the way to the game breaks a leg and spends the night in hospital are they counted as attending? Just curious.

Team supporters are quite often biased about their players it is a normal situation. My beef is that a lot of the same supporters then can any one who has a different view. If people charged with picking the team pick a different player to the team supporters choice it does not make the selector an idiot which is the way same supporters label them. All wisdom does not flow from supporters on Demonland. Quite often the "experts" actually get it right.

You may be right I just don't see it, Dees fans are small in total numbers and with plenty of snow in the hills that will cost a few.

Hope you are right Dr. The last two weeks I have been confident but these goones seem to have the wood on us in spite of us out playing them twice this year. They seem to be able to beat us whatever happens. I will reserve my prediction until I see the team but right now low confidence. At the start of the year I thought 14 wins and eight place with a Knock out in the first round. Injuries have hit at the business end of the year I don't think we have the experience and composure yet.
