  1. I shall be watching this epic from the balmy confines of The Manor surrounded, naturally, by canapés and matching beverages. I simply hate Darklands and will not view football from that hole. Certainly looking forward to young Woey's debut and wish him well. On the other hand, I'm not sold on our forward set up and am most interested to see if we can straighten up - in all senses. The aints , however, are going to have their own forward issues when confronted with Messrs May, Lever etc. Dees by 27. Three Brownlow votes to Trac.
  2. Don't like him - he reminds me of Stuart Broad too much
  3. He provides the answer to those who may wonder why we call Americans "septic tanks" !
  4. FMD Neil !!!! Romanticism [censored] the pommy bastards long and hard !
  5. At the risk of a ban for racism I must say, what a bunch of whinging [censored] ants the pommy bastards are ! Every club or park cricketer knows you wait for the call of “over” before you wander down the pitch FMD !!! I’m now putting them on the same level as the the filth
  6. Agree Rod! Very poor organisation and crowd facilities. Limited catering. Limited toilets. Poor access and exit to the ground. Inexperienced security staff. One bright feature though. Myself and my GD walked into the corporate area at half time and had a very nice free lunch.
  7. I'm far from a renowned forecaster dazzle but from my observations it will be better this arvo!
  8. That's very gracious of you to say so Rod! Although, even I will admit that the ravages of a hedonistic lifestyle have taken their toll and the dashing bon vivant pictured has declined somewhat.
  9. Well , I don't want to upset the Alice Springs tourism people but I can confirm, it's a miserable grey drizzly morning. And ... on that note ..... I'm heading off to find a decent bistro with the intention of consuming a huge breakfast. Dees by 27 points !
  10. @picket fence - great training report as always ...... but ........ there is an organisation called AA that would certainly be of benefit to you. ( May even help with "your dreams")
  11. The Uncle Bitter show has arrived in Alice. I know Territorians are famous for their hospitality but I'm quite touched that they put on a fireworks display in my honour.
  12. I certainly needed something to kick start me picket!!
  13. They had an excellent local shiraz at "The Burra" . Overindulgence in which accounted for my late arrival in Coober Pedy.
  14. The Uncle Bitter tour suffered a late arrival in Coober Pedy. Im doing catch up drinks, so no further communication tonight!
  15. The Uncle Bitter convoy has arrived in the fair Hamlet of Burra on route to Alice. The locals are very excited of course. I'm currently enjoying a libation at "The Burra" and , I must say the dining facilities are very pleasant (albeit rustic)!
  16. I'm leaving tomorrow morning Jim and aiming to arrive Saturday arvo. I'm more concerned about a decent Shiraz than steak sangos so I'll be packing a couple of decent quaffers .
  17. [censored] weather in Alice !!!!! Perhaps your poor old Uncle Bitter is being punished for his (many) sins.
  18. ' Clarry running hard.' Based on what you've seen today Kev, would you assess him as ready to go ?
  19. Certainly an appropriate choice Tim ...... but far be it for me to give Red such advice!
  20. Do you also enjoy a midnight naughty in the dunes by the cape Red ?
  21. Miserable [censored] result last night. Miserable [censored] weather today.
  22. Geez that was disappointing . We are better than that.
