I'm sure Clark and Dawes (yet to play a single game) would've made ALL the difference, aside from the fact the inside 50 count was 63 to 47. Hard to make an impact when the ball is up the other end..

Mate, perhaps we can create a sub forum for you, Curry and co, where you can spend your time agreeing with each other, and talk about how all those who see significant issues with on field performance that are NOT being rectified as alarmist morons. One has to question just how poorly this side has to perform for you to think that maybe, just maybe, we don't have the right coach to lead us out of this ditch we find ourselves in. I'm thinking nothing less than a 100 point belting by the Bulldogs would suffice. Oh wait, no it wouldn't, they beat Brisbane, silly me...always a loophole I haven't thought of. As for perspective on this match, yet again in excess of 100 less possessions than our opponent, 12 of the top 14 players on the ground being from the opposition. Nothing too unfamiliar under a Neeld side. Beaten convincingly in centre clearances again, 21-10, with Brisbane missing two of their best midfielders, if not their best. As for this persistence with zone defence, clearly the players either don't understand it, can't execute it, or it just doesn't [censored] work. Some respectability added in the last 10 minutes masked what was another resounding defeat against a weakened team that was just HUMILIATED last week by North, but allows people to apparently close their eyes for most of the match and point to the final margin as evidence of great improvement. I mean [censored] spare me, please. Anyhow, when we cop the mother of all hidings against Carlton next week, I look forward to what excuses can be rolled out to enable Neeld to keep his job while this club remains lead footed at the bottom. Remember to take a leaf out of Mark's book: "Development phase". When in doubt, "development phase". Works a charm.

I was wondering which excuse would be rolled out by the apologists. "We were missing our key forwards" was all cued up, ready to go.

Brisbane are travelling terribly at the moment. Against most teams that was another loss of 60-100 points. Neeld surely won't see out this season and the sooner the change happens the better.

Brisbane with 11 players collecting 20 possessions or more. Melbourne had 2, and one of them was Terlich.

Tackling pressure has been good, but the ease with which they've run it through the middle is [censored] startling. Agree with Jaded that Garland has been very good again. Byrnes too is following up on last week, that goal he conceded aside.

Bickering BEFORE the match has started. Anyone would think we were nervous about this one..

I've tipped a win cause I think we're a chance, but Brisbane will be viewing this in the same light as we did GWS. They have a point to prove. Bottom line doesn't change. These are games we need to win in order to say there's been any improvement on last year. They are down on form and missing key players. A shellacking will be indefensible, but once again there will be some who find a way.
