I think in Nick Vlastuin's interview with the club, he told our recruiter's in no uncertain terms that he had no interest in playing for a club that had tanked.
And yet Wallace is the only coach to have publicly admitted to tanking (for Cotchin).

No, I'd be rapt if he somehow turned into a good player, just don't think he's the type (yet another fringe player and tiny to boot) that we should've head hunted like we supposedly did. If he came essentially for free like a Michie did, then fair enough I suppose, but we had to do a deal involving Howe and Toumpas to get him.I guess, TheoX, that you would be very disappointed if he turns out to be decent player, and will no doubt gloat if he doesn't.
I wonder why our professional recruiters didn't consult with you before going after him?
Sincere apologies for having an opinion.

That's beacuse he showed nothing apart from terrible skills and panic when he did get gametime. You could make that argument for any fringe player.Ben Kennedy has a career average of 54.7% time on ground.
To put that in perspective that would put him last at the MFC for time on ground in 2015 alone... our lowest was Neal Bullen with 58% of time spent on ground.
Collingwood never gave Kennedy a chance to improve or develop. Their loss will be our gain.

Bugg as a ball winning mid in stead of tagger.

She had Yarran and Watts top 2 in 2008, not concerned about her ranking of Parish.
-
That's my one fear about him. Sounds just like all the reports of the Toump as a junior. .
Except Parish can win a contested ball. He averaged 28 disposals in the TAC cup,16 contested apparently, Toumpas averaged about 30% or less contested possessions IIRC. That's why I don't think he'll be a Toumpas.

Mumford was a massive loss too.Sydney have the benefit of a lot of young-gun academy recruits coming into their team to further boost their already strong list. While I agree that the Buddy-Tippett signings will make it hard for them to fit everyone into their salary cap, they've so far managed to retain everyone that they want (bar Jetta), and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them become a force again in the not so distant future.

Deserves a contract over a likely list clogger in Ben Kennedy, or Hunt.

Can't believe how many have Kennedy in the best 22, have people actually watched him play at AFL level? (not that he's played much at that level
)

If we wanted Moore it would've been part of the Toump deal.

So you like the last trade - but not the other trades that had to happen to do that last trade?
Didn't we just use the 2nd rounder in place of Howe for that trade? The others didn't need to happen for the GC trade, can't be bothered looking at all the details though.

The Bugg trade was genius, meh to the others. Disappointing to lose Jimmy without him getting a decent run at it.

Josh Mahoney's ears were burning....awesome bit of business upgrading to get two top 10 picks!
In exchange for a different two top 10 picks though. Meh.

Knightmare from bigfooty
I have a feeling (and I've expressed it before) that we may not be going after Prestia all that hard.
Go check out his write up on Toumpas.
Found it funny that Adam Oxley's been tweeting he's looking forward to playing against BK his good mate on Queen's birthday, BK will likely be playing at Casey so jokes on him.

Good luck to him, but he's a VFL standard player.

Hopefully Treloar's secret groin surgery gets him de-registered or something.

Warrior is already talking Hoges out of contract scenarios. Saying he shouldn't sign under any circumstances until he sees the coaching management structure from 2017 onwards. Jog on, Warrior.
Who is warrior?

We may as well force Howe into draft. And tell Kennedy to do the same and get him with our last pick rather than waste in on a earlier trade value. We will get him for nothin anyway. Show some balls dees. We get nothin for Howe either way, but we get Kennedy at last pick anyway.
Kennedy's contracted, don't think he can just go to the draft.

SEN are reporting that MFC are looking to play Melksham in defence rather than midfield.
If so the features you both describe would be a real asset to creating turnovers and getting the ball moving forward for us.
It also releases Salem to the midfield and is coverage for the loss of Howe and maybe Grimes at the end of 2016.
Melksham has also shown he has good skills and can get the ball so he may work out really well for us.
For a guy that averages not many disposals for a mid, he has a lot of clangers.

Mahoney on trade radio right now:
- Melbourne weighing up Toumpas whether to keep or trade
So did it sound like Jimmy would be happy to stay?

Terrible news, hope he makes a full recovery, but good on him for eeking out a better contract from Collingwood.
