Wow that deliberate call... unbelievable

Wouldn't mind if the umpires treated us like Collingwood

What was the "Adelaide deal"?
I remember hearing they were offering McAdam in exchange at one stage.
With respect, if that was the deal then I believe the club did the correct thing in refusing.
Was there anything better on offer?
Pretty sure they offered McAdam and the 1st round pick we traded away, ?14 (clearly we didn't rate the players likely to be available at that pick which probably ended up about pick 20). Hardly an offer you can't refuse.

Weren't they only offering their pick 13 or 14 though? That's no where near enough for him, would rather take the punt on him getting healthy again, that pick would've been pushed out to 20. If they had of offered something better than that you'd think about it but pretty sure they lowballed us
Exactly, if you're offering a contracted Petty a huge long term deal, at least offer a decent pick/s to us.

I think the presumption was that Dees were taking Windsor, so was never looking likely to get to 8.
I do think pace was on the agenda for them, which is why they were very keen on Fonti later on. He might have been their Windsor-lite.
Ah yep that makes sense

Am i reading it right that GWS would've taken Gothard, Leake, O'Sullivan in that order if they'd kept pick 8?
Thought all the talk was they'd have taken Windsor.

Seems a lot to give up for 3 spots, obviously have something else in mind for the pick.

Can we have a "Maynard gets injured in the first minute" option.
Even better, at training during the week, along with Howe.

I just remember this thug for deliberately kicking James Strauss in the face.

We must appeal this insane suspension.

Very happy to get Howes at #39. Wonder if Essendon tried to trade for a pick before us to get him, surely would've if they rated him around #13.

Not much upside to this trade, other years when we've traded our future first we've finished much lower on the ladder so got better picks.
But who cares, we won the flag!

Looked damn good in those highlights

How's that not a mark to may

If the players get sick we're stuffed.
Wouldn't put it beyond the shifty dogs' supporters.

Was hoping they'd have a tough, close, physical bruising game, oh well.

Can't believe he pleaded not guilty. Throw the book at him. 6+ weeks.

Joel Smith is a disaster.

Martin received a fine in 2018 for something similar, it was deemed ‘careless’. Ed Curnow received a one match ban in the same year for making contact with an umpire. Different rules for different players. Greene’s is one of the most intentional I’ve seen, it should be a suspension but fully expect him to be fined.
Martin lightly touched the ump on the shoulder, and their discussion was said to be amicable.

Deliberate and aggressive. Must get weeks for that. Should probably get something for the throat punch too.

Joel Smith. Yuck. Big bag coming up for Charlie.

Smith out, for Hibberd or Hunt if fit, he just gets in the way of May, Petty and Lever, and provides zero drive out of defense.
Also Sparrow out for Jordon perhaps, despite his great marking.

Would've been nice to have a decent contest to watch.
