Love this image, the 2 captains walking off together. The only downside I had last night was I taped the storm final got home to watch it and it failed to record and I also taped our game and it jumps because of reception. But thats ok. I have the memories from last night.

I loved the scenes of Viney and Jones walking off arms around each other with massive smiles. Gee how good was Viney to. Awesome tackling game.

Wow what a game and atmosphere. The members was rocking tonight. It was nice to sit around all Melbourne supporters. I hared Jones say it felt like an interstate crowd except they were all cheering for us. Juts loved the 1st quarter. It was great. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would kick the 1st 5 and hold them goalless. Loved Weidermans game. Brilliant marking and a handy 3 goals. Jetta was fantastic. He gets knocked, pulled, pushed but still gets up and gives everything. Jones, so happy for him that he kicked the 1st goal of that final term. Loved harmse's game. Enjoyed Frost down back as well, even Oscar took some nice marks. Just happy happy happy. Max Gawn is just the best. We are so lucky to have him.

Im still a little calm. Even though we arent kicking goals they arent getting them either. We have kept geelong to only 3 goals until 3/4 time. We need to go back to our first quarter footy. We can win this. God it would be great if we kicked the firsg goal or two Come on dees!

Just got into the members now. Massive turnout which isnt a surprise. Jones, brayshaw and salem came out for a walk and everyone turned around and cheered.

Finished work and on my way to the g. I'm not nervous yet but its weird to think im going to watch my team play finals footy. I got asked if could do a double shift tonight and said no way im off to the footy finals. I just hope our young players don't play like the hawks youngsters last night. They were like deer in headlights

Scary thing is Riewoldt didn't kick a goal tonight. The hawks youngsters crumbled tonight. The tigs just applied the heat. Also if we do get through im fairly confident gawn could do the job on McEvoy. Interesting to see Goodwin and McCartney there tonight. I guess they are doing there homework just in case we have to play hawthorn next week.

Nah I wanted them to win. I just wanted the finals to have a bit of a shakeup. Plus the more I watch Richmond the more I think Rance is a tool. By the way watching McEvoy ruck, does he actually tap it to anyone or just hit it into space. A few times tonight he has just hit it to no one.

Seriously Rance does nothing. Doesn't pick up an opponent, waves his arms around and clarko make him accountable please. Dusty does a fend off gets tackled and the umps wave play on. Gee Burgoyne has made some errors, missed that easy goal, fumbled and dropped a few marks. Bruest also missed a sitter. Come on hawks get back into it.

Gosh how is everyone feeling 24 hours out? I hitnk the bye was good because I didn't have to think about our final. But watching tonight it does make you feel excited about tomorrow night. I must admit I have a few fears running through my head. One is geelong get off to a good start and we are playing catch up all night, or we miss our first few shots at goals and that just builds pressure. It would be great if we kicked the first goal at least or the first few. The crowd will be loud. That roar at the end of the national anthem will be something tomorrow night. Im going from work to the G. Im excited. I just can't handle a close game again. Come on boys get the job done.

I think this will be interesting. Id love to hear his side of the story on how his relationship was with some of the players. Look when he came to the club I thought great, he has been under mick, been part of a premiership team and had other credentials. I just think our list wasn't that great at the time and he was asking to much. I also think some of these players couldn't handle being yelled at or maybe didn't like what they were hearing. Im sure Mike will ask him about the 2 young captains as well. But being at essendon will feature a bit as well.

I to was at this game. Unfortunately we came up against a team that was booted out of the prelim the year before and wanted revenge. Lets face it this essendon team under achieved with this team they had. They should have at least won 2 flags. Which is why I laughed when brisbane beat them the year after and still laugh in 99 because there supporters are still so filthy about losing that one to carlton. But I went to that game probably thinking we wouldn't win. Look at the teams and im sorry but we were young against the other mob. It wasn't a bad team but Beams Grgic and matthew collins probably wern't going to get us a flag. It was a shame Cameron Bruce got injured that week. But yes it would have been nice if Neita hit that first shot. Also hadn't farmer been carrying an injury to? I remember his jumper being pulled off and him wearing a protected vest thing underneath. But it didn't help when our strongest player the ox was thinking about the evenings entertainment that night and the gambling he could do at crown. Im sure I read a quote like that in his book. So his mind wasn't there and he didn't kick a goal that day. Anyway im glad the scum haven't won a grand final since. What they have done is wrecked the competition for 3 years, there golden boy couldn't coach and they have a missed the finals for a few years. But the 1 thing has stayed the same. There supporters are still arrogant and a pain.
