So Angus has informed the club that he no longer wishes to do that role from the bench & will just watch the games from the stands as a spectator. It explains why I hadn't seen him there. I don't blame him. He has a job outside footy & has the next stage of his life to focus on. He also probably enjoys the freedom of having his weekends free & I get why the club offered him a role to keep him involved, but he was medically retired, he didn't decide he had enough. It was probably hard for him & adjusting. I also find it strange he didn't do a farewell at the dogs game. We haven't had a chance to say goodbye

I remember hearing that from a player years ago. I'm not sure if it was brisbane or hawthorn or I could be wrong, but a key player left & when they came up against him all the players agreed not to say a word to him. Yes the players will want to retaliate and be seething but it just loses all focus and we can't give away dumb frees or get reported.
