  1. It's also a bad look for depression in general. It's a message that you can play this card and use it as an excuse to do whatever you want, including bypassing your morals and screwing over people who have supported you. At the time he retired I called him a coward for running away from his problems and I stand by it. You don't just quit, you fight. To me he is a poster boy for what not to do if you have depression.
  2. Yeah and 'you wouldn't say it to his face' like the fact that Brad Miller could smash me to a pulp somehow makes him a better footballer
  3. WHy? Don't you prefer to see the truth rather than have it moderated away from you
  4. can you be more specific? All I see is a huge amount of people getting stuck into Clark and a minority of 'good on him for beating depression' GULLIBLE IDIOTS, and of course a few trollflogs enjoying rubbing it in to MFC supporters I did see somebody link this article http://m.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/afl-chief-medico-reveals-league-had-to-retire-three-players-due-to-drug-addiction/story-fni5f22o-1226977036622 I hope it is OK to link articles I will have to check with our resident Dennis Denuto (you know who you are)
  5. is this rubbish your only involvement with this website or what very passionate about telling others what to do aren't you
  6. along with golden tickets and calling the draft a 'lottery' , my most hated thing about demonland is when people talk about AFL footballers in reference to a normal job. Like their gig at a logistics company that involves middle-management, paper-shuffling, water cooler, cubicles and delegation , is in any way comparable to AFL footy.
  7. uummm no it's not ridiculous but a statement of fact from from personal experience. You don't know what you're talking about.
  8. Well mate I am describing exactly what happened to me so yeah. You are correct I was asked questions, such as 'do you think you're depressed?' to which I answered 'yes'. Like I said, not a particularly scientific or thorough process.
  9. good point he pretty much ignored the fanbase completely didn't he
  10. When you go to a GP and tell them you might have depression, they ask you to fill out a questionnaire. It has a whopping 10 multi-choice questions on it. One of the questions is 'how often do you feel depressed' (I [censored] you not). So you take 3 seconds to answer the survey and guess what? you are diagnosed. It is a joke. It is about as scientific as a cave painting - and obviously it can very easily be manipulated to suit one's needs
  11. you're in the same boat as my old man that would be the S.S. Loser the fact you sat through the last 50 years of failure and still hang in is commendable the fact you don't seem to really give a stuff is not
  12. yeah just take it easy man lose elite players lose games don't win flags possibly die out as a club anybody want Dom Tyson and Jesse Hogan? we're giving them away cos we're the carefree Dees it's all cool man i'm just super easy going about it all fmd
  13. You just say things that have no relevance to anything. I'm done.
  14. you then go on to explain how you completely agree with what I have said this site is amazing sometimes
  15. No, I don't mate. I hate it. That's the point. I am sick to death of having zero elite players and losing every week. Clark was the first elite player we have had in forever and look at the unbelievable circumstances that have seen him end up at f--king geelong. I'm actually in disbelief that somebody is arguing this with me TBH.
  16. There you go again The rest of us put the interests of the club way, way, way before the interests of the player. In any case, we don't agree with you that it was in any way in the best interests of his mental health., It's a spoonful of carp that has been served up but nobody is swallowing it
  17. No, we won't be finding a coleman medallist hidden in our list somewhere I can guarantee you that
  18. pretty much, except for the brand new ones. If you have been around for a few years, and you're not injured, and you're not getting named in a 29 man squad I would suggest your future at the club is in serious jeopardy
  19. FMD That's crazy talk. Run a poll. "Do you think MC should have returned to the MFC instead of going to Geelong?" There will be one vote against it which is yours
  20. you're going to put your face in your hands as you watch us continue to lose games of football, with the lack of a genuine KPF being a key reason for our failure. Then you are going to watch Clark kick goals for Geelong and say 'good onya mate'
  21. This is it mate, the bolded bit. Everyone in Australia knows that was the wrong thing to do. If you want to go into it to further read the 6 pages of this thread, and the thousands of other posts across various threads that have developed since he took a big steamy one all over us - a number of us have already discussed the how/why of what he has done Hogan or any other player getting injured and/or going to another club is extraneous to this discussion. This is a special case.
  22. That's OK, just go ahead and link me to the article where a rich/famous person in the public eye has sued a small non-professional discussion forum because of anonymous comments of its posters I just want to see the precedent on which your concerns are justified
  23. You don't love the club as much as I do and/or you don't understand the injustice of the blow we have been dealt If you did you would be equally as angry
