You have just made my day.
-
I agree entirely.
-
Umpires decide it. Free kick to Tippet 30m out. Nobody knows why. Tippet goals.
-
Petterd kicks his 4th after some great work by Spencer. Dees in fornt. GO DEES.
-
Adelaide milking the clock in a practice game. McDonald has played a great game. Adelaide just hanging on - Melbourne has had most of the play in last 10 minutes and just can't goal. 1 minute left. Both sides seem desperate.
-
Miller shanks one from 45m out and misses the lot. Apparently 5 minutes left. Scully to Green. 25m out directly in front. COME ON YOU DEMONS. He's missed. 2 points down. Apparently now we're tanking according to these commentators.
-
Trengove has marked 45m out from goal. Misses. Behind. 4 points the difference.
-
Scores are level after Edwards hits the post. Commentators liking the Dees now, and mentioning our huge outs in Davey Moloney Bruce Sylvia to name a few. They reckon Bailey should be rapt with what he's seen. I think they're seeing the game for what it is, but just get carried away barracking for the Crows. They're still taking the [censored] out of Gysberts' name. Scully a behind. Adelaide a goal. Adelaide by 5 points. Closing stages of last quarter. Sorry - they're giving no indication of the time left on the clock. Rapping up Bartram too.
-
Cheney seems to be getting heaps of the ball, but sounds like he keeps stuffing up his disposal and turning it over. If his disposal improves with some experience and settled nerves, he could be anything.
-
"Scully pounces on loose ball and snaps around his body to Maric who goals. Amazing by Scully - I really like him". Melbourne in front. I'VE GOT WOOD!
-
For listeners in Melbourne: The Dees trail by just 3 points at 3 quarter time. A slow start, probably partly due to arriving late to the ground after an unexpectedly protracted plane flight (massive head wind nearly doubling the time for the flight). After a disappointing first 10 minutes where the Crows put on 3 goals to zip, our neonatal midfield missing Moloney, Davey, Sylvia and Morton, started to get on top. Just a quick reminder about this young midfield - Grimes - 12 AFL games, Scully - zero AFL games, Trengove - zero AFL games, Gysberts - zero AFL games. Melbourne kicked the next 5 or 6 goals and dominated an Adelaide side which while depleted, were probably not as depleted as we were. Not to forget that we lost the services of Jurrah and Bell with shoulder/arm injuries. Adelaide then had a period of the game through the third quarter where they got on top and clawed their way back into the game, and then into the lead. A late goal by Petterd put the Dees back into e contention. Overall, a great effort by a baby Dees side, and an exciting quarter to come. Scully 16 touches. Trengove 21 touches. Petterd 3 or 4 goals? For listeners in Adelaide: The inevitable is coming. Our extremely undermanned side led by superman a.k.a. Kurt 'Just the tip" Tippet are about to overpower this shizen Melbourne outfit who were smashed by Richmond last week and who have made the finals once in the last ten years. A Melbourne defender has played well, but the most evident thing is that all of Melbourne's ex-South Australians are dominating, but not as much as our boys who have stayed at home. Update - Bell dislocated shoulder. Jurrah - broken bone in forearm.
-
Scully to Trengove to Martin to Trengove. Trengove 21 touches. Petterd has just kicked a goal. Back to 2 point deficit. Interesting... the commentators are starting to speak as though Adelaide have won the game and how valiant Melbourne were in defeat. It's half way through the 3rd quarter and 2 points the difference. F'tards. Another comment on Scully's courage. That's about the 3rd time they've mentioned that.
-
Crows up by a point about 5 mins into the 3rd quarter. I hate these commentators. Hate them. I hope they all get thrush.
-
2 goals to the crows inside a minute. And now there's apparently "a sense that they'll overpower the Melbourne side".
-
I'm not trying to make excuses. I mean they are typical of South Australians to be so parochial. They're always sub-par. I lived in the dump for a few years, and listening to the footy on the radio was as unbearable as it is today. Add to that the fact that we didn't beat Adelaide in Adelaide for my entire stay. They'd always have Risciutto (cashed up bogan that he is) as a guest commentator, and he never made any attempt to hide his contempt for our team. The Crows could go from "how will we win a game this year at all" in one week, to "who could possibly beat us this year" the next.
-
"Not a goal for 35 minutes, and against Melbourne... Melbourne!!!" "An undermanned Melbourne". "An undermanned Melbourne who were smashed by Richmond last week!" To truly disrespect your opponent, you must know something about him. These guys are so typically parochial. On a different note, does anyone know how many ex SA players have we got on our list? It seems like a disproportionate amount.
-
Sounds like Jamar is playing very well again. "We are getting smashed in the ruck".
-
"Remarkably Melbourne are in front". Well, hmmm. Our young midfield is getting on top (maybe temporarily) and we have kicked for goals to their three.
-
Petterd lining up from 45m out - dobs it. It's two points the difference. They kicked the first 3, we've kicked the last 3. Scully involved ++. Poor Belly can't take a trick. I thought this might be a big year for him, and now he's injured again. Jurrah's injury equally miserable. Positives at quarter time seem to be the games by our young blokes - Scully, Trengove, Grimes.
-
Now Bell has dislocated his shoulder. I am starting to feel a little flat.
-
Jurrah has dislocated his shoulder. Maybe. I don't think any of these commentators are doctors. They are a bit unsure now.
-
I've just turned up my Shiraz infusion rate, but it's barely covering the pain. The commentators seem very impressed with Scully - amazing work rate, and has just kicked a nice goal. They are agreeing with Judd comparisons in the way he plays. I think I just heard that. Maybe I've OD'd on the shiraz?
-
Jurrah snaps one over his head. HEEEEEE'S BAAAAAAACCCKKKKK!!!!!!!
-
They will bar up over Trengove all day b/c he's from SA.
