Max Gawn not in Top 8 Ruckmen according to The Age
Maxy is number one in hitouts and he is not in the top 8??? Hilarious really

Be Patient with Lever
He looked good in the JLT , but seems to lack confidence, and itβs showing in his decision making. Looks like a skinny kid at times.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Yes I know that but he seems to have attributes both have. Harvey was quick and great around goal and Mitchell had clever ball use in the middle. Both small yes, but busy small zippy player is what I meant.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Reminds if a Brent Harvey , Sam Mitchell type. Something we lack. That busy little player always working hard around the packs.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Tex Walker is really just a yobbo. If he was real captain material he should have led his side to flag by example instead of squibbing so many important contests on the big day.

Best MFC team in last 50 years
Spalding wasn't really that good , guys like Steven Tingay and Steven stretch in for Yeats and Spalding

Jack Petruccelle
Yes exactly, when they talk about this years draft being shallow they don't take into account The state leagues

Jack Petruccelle

I couldn't open the link , but where does Bucky rate Brayshaw and Fritsch?
-
Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
How does everybody know that Fritsch is even a target of ours?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
Anyone know what his "personal problems" were?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
The people who whinge about us paying too high a price are probaby the same ones who complain that we always get killed by the likes of Ben Brown and Joe Daniher , Josh Kennedy and the like. Make no mistake, if we had him this season we would have made the finals quite comfortably. i guess they would prefer an untried teenager at pick 18 or something than a intercept machine such as Lever. At some stage we have to make a tilt at the flag, now is the time.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Exactly! He is second only to McGovern in the AFL Make no mistake , this guy is a gun and will only get better as he develops a stronger body
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Even if we win a premiership the whingers will still whinge about what we had to give up to achieve it.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
The draft is a gamble, proven players like Lever are gold.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Happy it's done.... a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
He is only 21 and he is a gun, will soon become a fan favorite and will be a vital cog in our quest for the holy grail.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I don't believe the captain would tweet something like this if it wasn't a huge chance to happen. Personally I think it's just about over the line, just waiting for the Crows season to finish and the compensation picks agreed upon.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Kelly is going to the Blues and Essendon, and I'm Brian and so is my wife.

Glaring weakness in defence
I'm always concerned when people say give them time to develop ,re OMac etc... If you're serious and pushing for finals you cannot afford that luxury, the penny has to drop at some stage. Casey is where they should be developing until they bang down the door. You don't see people "developing" in the Premier league or in most other top level sport for that matter.

Just another kick in the the guts to the MFC from the powers that be.
