I really can’t stand Dwayne Russell’s commentary. He always calls for what he hopes to see and not what’s really happening. For example you can see as clear as day that a shot for goal is missing by miles and he says, “ it’s coming back it’s coming back , could it could it possibly! No Dwayne it’s not ?

What we have to worry about is reduced seating capacity due to Covid may see a final played in Geelong , so we definitely don’t want them finishing above us.

Brilliant round of footy sets up our second half of the year. Its all in our own hands now.

I don’t know who the coach is of these football commentators, but they need to get Clarko in because they are putrid!

I like Weed and hope he gets back to some good form, but this year Brenny Brown has performed better when in the side, and that’s mainly because he is clunking more marks and his leading patterns are better and more reliable . The other forwards can get out the back and have more room to move as well as less pressure with Ben matching up on the best tall back.

I love the old ABC days , just describing the play and not being too opinionated and cheesy with the jokes.

Petty has been great tonight

The connection between Gawn , Trac and Clarry is good tonight and Brown balances out the forward line much better. We also started better this week and those were the three things we wanted to improve on.

We look the better side, work rate is very high.

I wonder what the mindset is with several players taking sideways kicks for shots on goal even when in front of goal. I find it strange mainly because they have been working on their kicking with Choco a lot this year.

He was tried there a couple of times yesterday but he is just not getting his hands on the ball anywhere at the minute.

Unfortunately covid makes it impossible to just turn up and a lot of older people who aren’t tech savvy find it too hard these days. We tried to get a group of friends to go but found it very hard to organize seats in n the same area . I went with my son but it would have been 5 or six of us if we were just allowed to rock up.

We have three glaring problems. 1. Our starts 2. Centre bounce clearances 2. No presence up forward/ forward connection If we don’t fix these up before finals we won’t pose a serious threat.

It does worry me a little that we haven’t smacked anyone yet and been beaten by two lowly sides.

I’d try something different with our forward mix and replace ANB with Brown, because even though he is a good pressure player he hardly troubles the scoreboard for a forward. Chunk for Sparrow who can consider himself unlucky as he hasn’t done much wrong , but doesn’t t get enough of it for mine. Jones will be an upgrade. Bowey the Sub, been really impressed with this kid. Skillful, works hard and good decision maker. Vandenberg looked good today too and just might work his way back into this team as he gets his fitness back.

They are such bad sports. On the train they were jibing Melbourne supporters , saying stuff like when was your last premiership?, and, you guys aren’t good enough to win it this year . They we’re hurting and it made the win so much sweeter
